hi i am new here, but i am 24, mom of 3 and would love to have twins, i am ovulating but very irregular, sometimes my cycles are 30 days sometimes 45 days.
So today i started to take fertomid 50 mg, the same as clomid, hoping for twins.
I have seen a gyneacologist and told her i want to conceive, but they refused to help me as i have been trying for 9 months, without success.
I now found out that you can get it without prescription, online, so i got it, and hopefully it wil make me pregnant with twins.

Hi, Im new to the forum. I've been reading the forum for a while now and I have a question. I just got my pills for the first cycle (50mg)...I am REALLY confused as to when to take them. I don't understand what cd3-7 or cd5-9 mean!! Is that days prior to menstrual cycle? After menstrual cycle? I have no idea..please HELP..lol...also, i have twins in both sides of my family..father is an identical twin and other twins from his side...grandmas side has couple of twins as well....does that increase my chances?

Hello Aishas I haven't conceived twins on clomid. As a matter of fact I haven't even taken clomied YET! I am waiting for mine to arrive in the mail. However, maybe you and I could still talk and Tell each other what we have learned about it. Are you trying to conceive twins?

thanks for writing rmora. i have several friends who are moms of multiples, and i write a parenting column for a local paper. i'm interested in talking to would-be moms or moms who have actually conceived about the various reasons for using clomid. privacy protected. i'm not sure how to send my private email though?

Hi, I will be turning 40 next month and my husband and I are shooting for 1 more or 2 if we are blessed with twins. I am on prescribed clomid, 50 mg and should be ovulating next couple of days. Not trying for twins on purpose but would be perfectly happy either way. Basically just getting anxious and nervous (in a good way) about trying one last time before I am too old and looking for others out there with advice. This is my first time on clomid.

ccusack - Hi and welcome to the group. I turned 40 back in June and I have been trying for 15 months to have one or two more as well. What cd did you take your clomid. I take 50mg and I took it cd 3-7 took my last one today this is my 4th round. I hope you get your wish the first time out. What cd are you on? We might just be cycle buddies. Hi, I will take unprescribed clomid 50mg days 5 to 9 but I dont want my dc to know. I dont think he will be happy because I ovulate normal and dont think that I reall need, but can somebody can tell me HOW LONG THE CLOMID STAYS IN THE SISTEM ( BODY )? How long after I get preg should I go to the dc and he wont know about the chomid?

hearthope, your doc won't be able to tell by tests or anything that you've used clomid. Clomid is said to last UP TO 60 days in your system, however, there is no test for your doc to do that will show him anything other than your progesterone levels and HCG levels. Healthy pregnancies unmedicated have varying levels on both, and there's no way for him to know a thing unless you tell him!! Good luck :)

LindaS, thank you so much for what you wrote. I guess my dc wont know because I wont tell him at least. I'll really try it in december. I hope I can get one or two babies soon. How about you? Are you taking it too?

I've been researching if it would be detectable in the blood and how long to wait before going for bloods, as I too don't want doc to know about using it. I have read that taking Fertomid 25mg, is only traceable in the blood for upto 50 days then becomes almost untraceable. Saying that, they have to actually be looking for it in the blood to find it anyway, so you should be ok. I'm going start taking mine next week when Af arrives. I can't decide when to start, day 3-7 or 5-9. I've been considering this for almost a year and have done some research. If/when I get a BFP I'll probably wait a while before advising doc of pregnancy. If I decide to wait about 50 days, I will probably tell doc when I'm about 7-8 weeks. The first scan offered here is at 12-13 weeks so it wont matter that I've waited. I am really nervous but adamant that I will start next week. My age is getting on and I also have some health issues too.

Which brand of Clomid will you be taking? If you have any other questions, I will try and help as much as I can. Good Luck
