I didn't consider it rude. Sorry if I made you think that. I am sorry to hear about your miscarriage. My SIL had a miscarriage with her first and has since had a DD and is now pregnant with twins, the second two pregnancies were conceived using clomid. She had problems with the second and now third pregnancies but it is due to an incompetent cervix, not the clomid. I was jsut saying that I doubt that the studies could differentiate between the problems already present and any s/e of the clomid. And I am saying that due to the fact that few (if any) doctors would prescribe clomid simply because a woman desires it. Does that make more sense? Sorry if I garbled the meaning in the last message.

Im new around here. I have 1 son conceived not on any drugs. But I cant seem to carry any other baby's past 6 weeks. This is my 3rd M/C. Doctors suspect an infetility issue. Could clomid be the right thing for me to try. Im wanting a multiple birth, i want the experience. But I would be grateful with 1. My hubby isnt too keen on the twin thing but he said we could do it. So....any advice ladies?

Hello again girls,

how are you all doing? I'm not doing so good, I've today got AF 2-3 days early and am disheartened with nothing happening. I have decided to give all this ttc a break for a while. this is cycle 37 and I really have had enough! 3 rounds of clomid and it still hasn't worked.
I've made plans to go on holiday with a friend in a couple of months and we will be having a few drinks to say the least. I'm going to go on contraception from now untill I come back, so I'll probably be back in May/June. I wish you all lots and lots of Babydust! I hope that when I return, you will all have moved on and enjoying your pregnancies. Congrats to all of you that already have your BFP's and may you all have a happy healthy 9 months and beautiful babies. If any of you want to email me please do so on aprilmac at email.com I'll be thinking of you all X

Hi ladies!

I am new here - just order u/p clomid. I have a few questions...is anyone from Canada? Has anyone had any problems with their Clomid being delivered?

Also, who is telling their doctor they are taking u/p clomid? Would a doctor have any way of knowing if I didn't tell? What if (and I know this is unlikely) I ended up with triplets, quads or even quints - would they test for clomid in my system without my knowledge?

I have two boys from a previous marriage and I have been trying to get pregnant again for almost 2 years. My husband was recently checked out and is fine. My doctor doesn't know why I am not getting pregnant (I DO have regular periods) and she won't prescribe me Clomid for another 6 months of trying. So, I am taking things into my own hands!

Thanks in advance for your help ladies:)

I would LOVE to have twins or even triplets (but no more then that hopefully!) as I am getting older and, if I do get pregnant, it will be my last pregnancy!

Mommyoftwo, I don't believe there's any way for clomid to be detected in the body unless it has been days since you last took it. The only reason I might tell my dr if I took clomid is if something goes terribly wrong.

ccusack - January 15th, 2009 6:11 PM

mommyoftwoboys and others. Please DO NOT take clomid without monitoring. I did and now I have ruined my chances of getting pregnant. I did tons of research and did it anyway. I now have uterine fibroid tumors that have distorted my uterus and a cyst on one ovary. I now know why they monitor you with clomid so closely. There is a reason they do the sonograms and blood tests while on clomid...to prevent things like what happened to me. Do not take the risk, it is not worth it. I not only ruined my chance of twins, I ruined my chance of getting pregnant at all. My chances now are less than 5% according to the docs.

Please dont make the same stupid mistake I did.

ccusack -- HOW MANY MONTHS DID YOU TAKE THE CLOMID?

ccusack - January 15th, 2009 7:46 PM

3 months - first 2 at 50 and 3rd at 100

aprilmac - January 17th, 2009 5:11 AM

Hi girls, I couldn't help pop back here to see how you all are doing? I also wanted to let you all know what's happening with me.

I Took 25mg Fertomid in october days 5-9, 25mg Fertomid in November days 4-8 and finally 50mg Fertomid in December days 3-7 as the previous cycles had not worked.

I am now on CD7 and still have a period that is very heavy, I'm not sure why it is that I haven't finished this period cycle yet. I have no pain at the moment and am hoping that I don't get any. I'm assuming that I ovulated more than once which could account for what seems to be like another period. Of course, I don't know that this is the case. I was taking it u/p so now cannot go the doc for any guidance.

My aim is not to scare anybody, but just to say that if you are going to take it, it might be an idea to start with a low dosage first, just to see how your body reacts to it. We are all very individual, so a 50mg dose could make one of us ovulate twice, and the other not at all.

I'm fortunate to already have children, but want another one to complete my family, before I turn 40. I've been ttc for 37 cycles now and have only tried fertomid in the last 3. I still have 10 more tablets of fertomid left which could do another 1 X 50mg or 2 X 25mg, but I'm going to re-assess in April. I will be starting contraception this week.

ccusack, how are you doing? I hope the treatment is helping and your body is on it's way to recovering. My prayers are with you. X

ccusack - January 17th, 2009 10:53 AM

aprilmac - please go to a doctor before it is too late. That is exactly how my symptoms started. I had a realy heavey period that lasted a week and normally it is 4 days, then the next one lasted 2 weeks and I finally went to the er with abdominal pains. By that time the unterine fibroids were so huge that it had distorted my entire uterine wall.
