soready- it was u/p and i do ovulate regulary its just i wanted 2 babys but i was tramatized by my last delivery because it was at a VERY small hospital and the doctors and nurses didnt really care and the epidural guy refused to come in and give me a epi cause it was at night and he does not have to come in if he does not want to (very dumb) so i had to give birth all natural with a 8 pound baby and i was just so tierd that i could not push like at all and me and my son almost died i was hemerging (i had to have 3 blood trans) extremly bad my sons heart beat dropped and would not go up they never even told me that while i was pushing either! so i just son i want to see my son! and pushed once and he was here :] but that experince really did a tole on me! i would do it over 100000000 times for my son dont get me wrong! but i just am so scared to be in labor again but i wanted 2 more children so i did what i had to do and took it u/p

Thats understandable! I am sorry that you had such a bad experience! I have a 2 yr old son and I couldn't have ask for a better pregnancy or delivery. My doc wants to give me clomid but I wont be able to take it for 3 months because my dh wont be here. I really like these forums because all the ladies here have been so nice and I feel like I am learning so much before I have to go through this process. I too want twins because this will be my last pregnancy due to my past thyroid problems.
Good Luck! I hope everything turns out great with this pregnancy!

To Jusdee- I really understand you b/c I also had a hard delivery last year. I tried to give birth to my baby girl from 10 pm to 6 pm next day and the whole thing ended up in a c-act at last...:-( I finished clomid 2 day ago. I took only 25 mg from day 4 b/c Im scared of overstimulation. I just wanna know if your ovulation on clomid was any diff from the normal? Ialso had no s/e except for being very moody. I dont feel pains, its just some "pressure" inside (sorry for my poor English). Can u tell me on which day you had your ovulation?
I wish you health and luck and all good with your twins and an easy delivery!
thanks for your help

BABY DUST TO EVERYONE!!!

I am very interested in this as well. My husband and I are a healthy, fertile couple and I have always wanted to have twins. Ever since I can remember. My great grandmother on my father's side was a fraternal triplet. I have since learned that it will not increase my chances of conceiving multiples so I'm seriously researching clomid. (Non prescription). I have seen in a few forums that women who took 25 mg have become pregnant with triplets. Should a healthy woman take 25 or 50 mg? And most importantly... is it to be taken 3-5 days into menstruation, then stopped 5 days after beginning? Then again the following month?

SoReady - July 20th, 2009 3:03 AM

Healthy - I seriously doubt that many women have conceived trips on 25mg of clomid. I have never even heard of a dr that would rx less then 50mg. I dont know what you have been reading but it all sounds wrong. First, women who are fertile do not have any higher chances of conceiving multiples on clomid then a woman with fertility issues. All clomid does is helps the follicles that you have mature faster. This doesnt make you ovulate more eggs. Clomid only gives women a 6% chance of having twins and less then 1% chance of having high order multiples. I have been on this site and many others for over a year now researching fertility and fertility meds. The majority of women who conceived multiples were given some sort of injection. Some of the women got the hcg (trigger) shot which makes you ovulate any mature follicles. Or there has also been a higher success rate from the gonal F shot. Both of which have to be prescribed. If you are interested in u/p clomid then I can recogmend an online pharmacy where you can get it. I think that you can get 60 50mg pills for about $45 including shipping.

How to take clomid:
You need to know what cycle day you are on beforer you start. The first day of your period (actual flow) is cycle day 1 (cd1).
Dr's usually start women on 50mg on cd5-9. This will produce better quality eggs. Most likely to result in the conception of 1 baby.
Some women take clomid on cd3-7 to help produce more eggs. The risks with this is that the eggs are not as good of a quality so when you ovulate the egg(s) may not implant.

SoReady, Thanks for the detailed reply. It isn't easy to find this info without a lot of backlash.
So my cycles shift forward one or two days every month but always seem to be around the 2nd week of the month. I have probably around a 30 day cycle. My cycle was over completely by fri so it probably ended this thurs. According to my cm, it seems as if I may have been ovulating today. Does that sound right? It's only been four days so I'm going to try and confirm that tomorrow. Should I try to conceive after the final day of my clomid cycle? On the last day? And do I stop taking clomid after five days, then wait for the my menstrual cycle and begin again (if need be)?

I obviously don't know as much about the fertility terms as many of the women on here, although I'm a natural born researcher and learning all the time. Judging by what you said, I will have to determine what's more important to me... the prospect of producing multiples vs. a higher quality outcome. I'll do some thinking about that and talk it over with my husband.
My other concern is this... if 50 mg help women who have difficulty conceiving to become pregnant, will that dosage be sufficient for me to hopefully have twins? Or should I take 100mg? What are the chances that I will have triplets if I'm very fertile and double the 50mg dosage in the way? I mean... it's got to be small, right? Might as well aim high and shoot low or am I seriously putting myself at risk for triplets or more?
