Hey girls just wanted to let you know I will be offline untile Tuesday. My oldest daughter and 2 granddaughters are leaving on Monday and moving to West Virginia. It will be a sad day but I will be ok. It is for the best and they will be okay. I hope you all have a very nice weekend. As for me I am on cd21/10dpo and I am still very tired, starting to feel quessy, some very very mild cramping, mouth is starting to water and that is about it. I am not testing early my test date is Sep 4 and AF is suppose to be here on Sep 5. I hope when I get back online I will see some BFP. Take care and I will talk to you soon. Krissy

So i was just thinking and you know how they say that clomid gives you a 10% chance of having twins! Well on any given cycle the tell women they have a 25% chance of getting pregnant if they are trying... so if you have only a 25% chance of getting pregnant and a 10% chance that you will get pregnant with twins. BASICALLY, if you DO get pregnant you actually have about a 40/60% chance of it being twins. HAHA hopefully that doesn't confuse anyone! Sorry, I took ap statistics in highschool... and we learned a lot about how people minipulate numbers Especially percentages for their specific cause... I'm sure doctors would like people to underestimate their chances of multiples... but even from what i've seen and read it seems pretty even... about half people only conceived one and half conceived two or more! Well Good luck to all you ttc-ers! Sorry if i gave you a head ache just now! :)

Hi Guys,

I haven't been on this site for nearly a year now, after TTC for 2 years and no luck, my husband and I decided to take time off, give our systems a break and have a holiday. Now I'm back and ready! (Again)
so now I'm gonna start with the clomid again and this time my obgyn has prescribed Duphaston too. Any of you ladies have any advice or info about the Duphaston? I would really appreciate it. Also, when I last used the clomid, it was 50mg cd3-7, I've read on your forum cd2-6 increases your chances for more follicles, thereby increases your chances for multiples? is this true? have been prescribed clomid 50mg again. I've been out of this particular game so long can't remember anything anymore! All help welcomed.
Baby dust to all!
Janine

JanineG5P1M4 - How are you doing? I'm glad you came back and good luck to you. I have never heard of duphaston so I don't even know what it do. If you take the clomid on days 2-6 you will produce more follicles but they are inmature so it might could cause m/c. Good Luck and I am keeping fingers cross for you.

Hey girls here is my little update. I am on cd28 17dpo and my temp did go up some from yesterday 97.82 to 97.94 I was suppose to start AF yesterday but she didn't show up. I was suppose to take my hpt today and I did with fmu and it was BFN so I am just waiting to see what is going on. Well I went to the bathroom about an hour ago and when I wipe it was very light pink slimy mucus never had this happened so I don't know if AF is going to start today or not. I will let you all know. I am still happy today because I mailed off more money to the fertility dr. so now my balance is either going to be $550 or $375 she told me today that she need 5 days to request a new authorization for me to have the surgery so she said when it is getting closer to me having the surgery she will requested it. I am still praying that I can have it done before the end of the year so please ladies keep praying for me. I hope you all have a very nice evening and a wonderful holiday. I will talk to you all again on Tuesday. Krissy

yeah it increases the chance of multiples, because usually but not always, you can produce two or more eggs, when normally you would NOT. be careful though, if you only want twins, you would have to be monitored closey, so that you only have two eggs, or you could end up with much more then you bargained for. if you can handle that possibility, then good luck to you, but being monitored is bestcause like a pp said, you do have to watch out for cysts also, as it does cause them. i've had them twice. no fun. good luck and the answer is yes, it does increase it. identicals can come from one egg but are far rarer then fraternals from two eggs and at your age, i doubt you are releasing two on your own.

ps- drs do prescibe clomid to women who are already ovulating, because iam one of them. if the dr believes you have been trying for some time, its the 1st course of action and will be prescribed. do it this way b4 taking anything online. that can be dangerous. oh and i've been on 50mg and 100. i'd try 50 first especially if you don't know how your body might respond, i've gotten as much as 4 eggs on only 50. it's a crap shoot. lol i i wish you the best! source- been there two times, one vanished twin, and twins now. been part of that 10% twice, imo chances are higher

twinsmichelle - how are you doing? If you don't mind who are you responding to in your 2 emails? I have been on prescribe and u/p clomid but I know for me I have to have the corrective surgery to help me out. Krissy
