im 5wks and got my results back for my blood test, well my hcg level was 24000 and my progesterone level was 9. Is this something I should be worried about?and is 24000 to high for me being only 5wks? Im confused cause the nurse said my progesterone level should be in the 20's. i wont get my 2nd test back until tomorrow. also i had an ultrasound done and only saw a sac, i dont know what to think. Pleas help.Advice

I do think your prog needs to be a bit higher, if its not higher on the 2nd blood draw, they wil more than likely have you either take prog pills or prog supp..As for the hcg #. it really isn't an indicator of a multiple pg. And it would be common at 5 weeks to only sac. I know my tadpoles are measuring a few days apart so had i had an early u/s Baby B wouldn't have been seen. If they suspect twins they will do another u/s around 7-8 weeks when they would be able to see more..But i would ask them about prog supplements..GL

the nurse called a prescription in for me yesterday, its called prometrium. hopefully things will look up for me now. thank you for your input
