Hi, I had a small brownish bleed at 9weeks so had a scan that showed two sacs, one with an obvious baby witha heartbeat and another smaller sac that appeared to have nothing in it. We assumed twins with 1 that didn't make it. But a scan at 10 1/2weeks showed pretty much the same although the once empty sac appeared to be slightly bigger, now with a foetal pole (no heartbeat). A third scan at 12weeks showed sac 1 with a healthy baby and the 2nd sac now bigger again with the foetal pole having grown in size as well (no heartbeat). I am very confused. Now 18weeks and due for another scan next week. Has anyone had a similar experience??

HI
I am 8 weeks pregnant. I went for an ultra sound at 6 weeks and there was 1 sac and no heartbeat. But I was told it was too early. Now I am 8 weeks and they see two sacs but only 1 heartbeat. They are calling it a vanishing twin. BUT they are sending me for a high def ultra sound next week to be sure. What happened at the DR? It is so stressful to wait and see......I hope that your twin is ok!!!
