i dont think vitex is meant to cause mutiples but regulate ones cycle and help with ovulation...it just helps deviler the right amount of hormones needed in a cycle to ovulate...it doesn't stimulate the overies to produce more than one egg liek clomid does..i've been researching vitex as i'm torn between clomid and vitex.....are you taking it...do you know anything about it?

Well I've heard it can help and women have had multiples because of it. I just wanted to hear more in depth stories. I am taking it (started about a week or two ago) FINALLY made AF show up on time - hasn't been on time all year....also it made the cramping/headaches a whole lot less! So now this month we're going to see if it helps us get pregnant. We've been trying for two years and we've tried pre-seed and that didn't help. I tried charting/temping - same result there. We want a natural pregnancy so we haven't seen dr.'s about clomid and invetro etc. SO we're hoping this herb will help!

wow..thats great..i have a period thats abonormal..and about 42 days long..i haven't ovulated on time..its now 26 cycle day..and i think i've just ovulated..and would love something to put my mind at rest..its so hard to pinpoint when i'm going to ovulate and we've been ttc for 8 months with 2 miscarriages..its just so hard...i've read about vitex and clomid..and dnot know which one to choose..weighing the options..i would only like one but i wouldn't mind twins...just one healthy baby...i just started temping this cycle.i've never really done anything lie that..normally just having sex every other day...but we just dont know what to do..i want to make my cycles shorter and about a normal cycle...its good to have someone to talk to about it..i 've not read about vitex causing mulitples..i'll check and research that bit if you'd like.

Well if I were you I'd try vitex first before clomid...since it's a natural herb yanno? But sometimes some people need the clomid to help. But I have a "VITEX" post in the 1st trimester board and a few women have said they got pregnant about a month or so after use......And I do believe you can take vitex while on clomid....I thought I read somewhere that both is ok.....don't quote me on that though, I was reading a LOT so it may be backwards.....anyways I'm liking it so far. I'll keep you updated with it!

I heard if you take both (vitex and clomid) then they will cancel eachother out. You should stick to one or the other. I also hear that some ladies take soy instead of clomid.
