I found out at 5 weeks when we saw 2 sacs. At 6 weeks we saw heartbeats. It was my second pregnancy and I was showing by 12 weeks. Are you having twins? I don't think you can tell by how big you are, you have to have an u/s.

I havent had any u/s so i dont know if i am having twins. i guess there could be a possibility. I did HEAR a baby heartbeat (not see) at 13 weeks. Could the doctor at that point have found out if i was having twins? would she have heard two heartbeats? Or could she have found one heartbeat and have thought that was it. I dont have my first u/s until i am 20 weeks.

We found out at 8 weeks by u/s. The practice that I go to just always do a dating u/s at your first visit. By 13 weeks, you would be able to see on the u/s if there were one or two. If there aren't looking for it, most Dr.'s won't look for or listen for more than one hb, so that's not surprising that they listened for just a hb and that was it.

twin heartbeats can also possibly be in-synch so that by listening the doctor would only think it was one. You really need an US to find out for sure how many babes. Good luck :)

I'm 21wks with identical twin boys.....I had an u/s at 6wks that just showed one sac! Guess the other one was hiding! When I went for my u/s at 19wks, OOPS! what a HUGE Surprise! I'm still trying to adjust, very excited and worried too! Good Luck and belly rubs to everyone!

Well Im having quads.I found out at 8 weeks at my 1st Ultrasound.

I'm in my early 6 weeks of pregnancy. My hgc test was 22,000as of 11/13/06. Yesterday 11/16/06 I statrted to spot bright red then turning into brown . Saw the Dr. she did ultrasound the baby was in place and we saw a heart beat. The baby's heart beat was around 100 . Do you think my baby will be ok? Is there a chance I'm carrying twins or lost one? Dr. has me on bed rest for a week.......good new's no more spotting....11/16/06 PM last night .
Please pray for my baby.......

We saw two sacs and two heartbeats at my ultrasound on Wednesday... i measured 5W6D. Ashley i'll pray for you.... i had a scare too... i had some bleeding on Wednesday which is why they did the early ultrasound. So scary. Best wishes to all of you!

Congratulations!!!! Did you know you were havtwins or thought so from the beginning of you pregnacy? What was the heart rate of the babie?

Actually he didn't tell me what the heartbeats were... Hhmm... Not sure why. I had absolutely no indication that i was carrying twins. This is my first pregnancy so i have nothing to compare it to. My symptoms at 3 and 4 weeks were vomiting and cold symptoms.... now i have random morning sickness and i'm extremely tired in the middle of the day. I nap at least two hours a day even though i sleep like 8 hours a night! I also have BB tenderness. Belly rubs to all!!!

Hi , My hcg very high i'm 6 weeks now . Dr. thought all signs i may be pregnant with twins. I had a u/s no sign of twins .Saw the baby's heart beat..........Do you think maybe on is hidding........I have felt all signs I was pregnant with twins .....I was seen by my Dr. because I was sptting...That has stoped .She has me on bed rest for a week.........What do you think?

I found out about having twins in an ultrasound at 12 weeks. I didnt start showing for a little bit either. This is also my first pregnancy.

when i was preggo with my twins (was also my 1st pregnancy) i started showing at around 7 weeks and my boobs grew sooo fast. everyone shows at different times though, because everyone is built differently. im a really skinny girl , so that may have something to do with why i started showing so early

I found out today (8 weeks) via transvaginal u/s that I am having twins. This is my second pregnancy (first pregnancy - singleton) and I have definitely noticed that my stomach expanded (not obviously pregnant of course) much faster than last time. Then again, with subsequent pregnancies, the muscles and ligaments have already stretched once.
