Hey, one of my twins starts dancing every time we play Beethoven.. But then after the "dun dun dun dun" part is over she start sobbing like its the saddest thing ever. We thought it was just weird. She has a toy that plays the same Beethoven symphony and she does it with the toy too. I hear her crying histerically and every time she is holding this little Beethoven puppy. I thought the toy was evil so I took it away but when I played the Baby Einstein Baby Beethoven DVD she did the same thing. I think something in her past life must be causing her to behave this way... its just bizarre! The other twin has NO problems with Beethoven. The twin that cries is also the one who gets nightmares, too. I think the nightmares are over losing her identical twin... I had a dream that she was sad about that... maybe I was just sad about it... not sure. Anyway, any thoughts on this strange Beethoven thing? BTW... she's ok with Mozart and all the others... its just that one Beethoven symphony.

That make me really wonder what goes on in thier little heads. Maybe she can just scence the emotion in the song. She might not even really uderstand way she gets upset. Are they nightmares or night terrors. Night terrors are within and hour or so after falling asleep. The child usually doesn't even remeber having them. My older son is 9 and he has had night terrors almost his whole life. He never even remembers. He will be crying and screaming walking around the house and not even remember. The best thing to do for that is to direct them back to bed trying not to touch them and they surpass. eventually they will out grow them.

I'm not exactly sure if they are nightmares or night terrors. The girls are 16 months and the one who wakes at night has been doing it since we brought her home from the hospital. Sometimes it is within an hour of sleep and sometimes its several hours after sleep so I have no clue what she is experiencing.
