yesterday was my first day on clomid. taking on 3-7

I have not heard that Clomid wasn't safe or that it was dangerous. I would really talk to your Dr. about the risks and benefits of taking it. Personally, I think it's the miracle drug! We used it to conceive my son back in 2005, and we have found out for sure that I am pregnant again.
Ashleym, I took a HPT 11 days post hCg injection and it came back positive. But I know they like you to wait to test until 14 days post IUI. I just couldn't wait that long. I had my blood test yesterday and everything looks good. Keep us posted on how the test comes out. I'll wish for baby fo ryou!!!

BRIE-I am very happy for you!!! That is wonderful news.....did you have a high beta result? It's so funny because I got pregnant this round with a friend. My betas were high, but hers were even higher.........the funny part is she is only having one while I am having twins!! HAHAHAHAH...Holly, no...this is not my first pregnancy. I have a wonderfully bossy....9 year old daughter whom thinks she knows everything...HAHAHAHA, I am kidding. She is a great girl. Shall we start a new thread for us?? This one seems long and the beginning is out dated......(2004) What do you ladies think? What would you like to call it?? Let me know....

montie75 - September 6th, 2007 9:43 AM

Okay, I am going to start a new thread.....we will calll it..........Mom's to Be....Multiples or Singleton. DO you guys like that??

If we start a new thread, how to do we get to it?
I had my second blood test this morning, will ge tthe results later this afternoon.
My level was 232 on Tuesday. That is 15 days post IUI. What were your levels? They told me that at this stage, they wanted to see it between 100 and 200. So the 232 looked good. mONTIE75, How many follicles did you have?

Hi, I am also new to this. My husband and I have been TTC #2 for 2 years. I was on BC when my son appeared, he is now 3 will be 4 in Nov. I have irregular periods and there is no reasoning behind it. My Dr. put me on Provera for 10 days and Clomid for 5 days on days 5-9. I have been reading on this forum that most of you ladies have been having better luck on days 3-7. Right now I am on day 15 and I am feeling cruddy. I dont know if its a side effect from Clomid or what is going on. I have no energy, am tired, and having some pains by my belly button and lower. I was just wondering if any of you other ladies have also felt this cruddy? Best of wishes to you all, Keri

Hey Kerry! I took Clomid for 3 months before I became pregnant. The first round I did days 3-7, the second round i did 5-9 and then the third round i went back to 3-7. It seemed to make me ovulate earlier on days 3-7 but I do not think it really matters! I did felt crummy on Clomid. In fact, I feel much better now that I am 6.5 weeks pregnant than I ever did on Clomid. Good Luck. I know it is a stressful process but It is definitely worth all of the crummy stuff. --Holly

Congrats Holly!!! So happy to hear a success story from Clomid. I got up this morning feeling better than yesterday, but it seems to hit in the afternoon. Good luck with your pregnancy...and baby dust to all!

Hi there,

I am 8.5 weeks pregnant and did clomid this time, as well as with my son. Both were single pregnacies. I was 100mg with my son, and 150mg this time around. Also did IUI this time. Good luck to you all!

Sellers - October 10th, 2007 3:13 PM

I'm on my 3rd month of clomid. the first 2 months I still didnt ovulate, so they kept increaseing it, now I'm at 150mg, I'm hope this month it works. The hot flashes are so bad. Any tips? I did the ovulation kit so we've been doing our thing everyday for 4 days around that positive test so far

Hello Everyone! It has been a while since my last post! Unfortunately I did not make it to my appt to find out how many I was having! Rather I miscarried at 8 weeks :( It was not easy especially after the long infertility process however my husband and I are hopeful! At least we know we can get pregnant! They believe that there was only one baby! I am just waiting for my cycle to resume to begin clomid! If it does not, I will need to use provera again! My prayers are with ALL of you going through this difficult journey! :) This is definitely a process which will make us much stronger women! --Holly

Rowan - October 10th, 2007 6:45 PM

Holly - I'm so sorry for your loss. I agree that now you know you can get preg. you are one step closer! Did anyone see Ophra about babies being serogate from India? 12,000 instead of 75,000 in the u.s

brie1227 - October 10th, 2007 8:23 PM

Hollyrae, I am so sorry to hear your news. That must have been so difficult for you. Keep faith that you will get pregnant again quickly. Now you know the doses of the meds you need to take and like she said, you can get pregnant. Did they happen to test your hCg and progesterone? A good friend of mine miscarried at 8 weeks and her progesterone was low, so when she got pregnant a couple months later, they had her take progesterone as soon as she found out she was pregnant. She now has a beuatiful 3 year old little boy. I'm sure your Drs do everything they can, but I just thought I'd suggest it in case it might help with the next pregnancy.
I will keep you in my prayers and hope that the time passes quickly and you get preg again.

Yes, I saw oprah. Wow. What a journey those women go on. you guys take care and I'll be thinking of you.
