Molar Pregnancy Or Twins?

my hcg levels were 27,000 at 5wks 6 days, had an ultrasound done on that day and there was a gestational sac and yolk sac but nothing in it. is this a molar pregnancy or twins?

It sounds like a molar pregnancy but I am not a doctor. I have a twin molar pregnancy now and am going on 28 weeks. So, if your saying the ultrasound showed a cystic placental like sac without a fetus, then that sound like a molar pregnancy. Check with your doctor to be sure.

Sherry--are you still out there????? I just diagnoses with a twin molar pregnacy at 12 weeks---how did you make it to 28--please tell me anything you know--I am getting ready to go to Boston for a specialist to fight for this baby!!! Any help you have would be great!!!!
