Hi all, I had an ultrasound at what we thought was 6wks, they saw two sacs, nothing in them. I came back a week later ( a very long week later!) for second u/s and they saw only one sac with baby and haertbeat inside. No second sac was found at this time and the measurements indicated that at that point i was six weeks, not seven. I am now 12 weeks, very big and VERY sick. While i am sick with all of my pregnancies for the whole nine months, this is much worse. Could I still be carrying twins if at six weeks only one sac was detected? I'd appreciate any insight. Thanks!

I had the same thing and they told me it was a vanishing twin. Sorry if you were looking foward to having twins, I know I was :(

My vanishing triplet never came back. Vanishing twins are really common. Sorry. Try not to focus on the loss but instead focus on what you are gaining. A baby! It will be healthier for you to think positive.
