Hello everyone my name is Jennifer I am 28yrs old and I have an 11yr son. I have endometriosis and have not been ovulating for quite sometime so my Dr started me on Clomid. This is my first month and I am very nervous. I had a positive ovulation test on Sat Sept 30th.

Jenn, I took a pregnancy test 7 days after ovulation (which is 1-2 days after your positive test) and it didn't show up positive yet, but 10 days after ovulation, it did. Good Luck! Hope you're as lucky as I was.

Hey ya'll I posted in July and was beyond depressed, after being told that I was fine but my husband was almost sterile, and our only option was IVF. Which we knew we couldn't afford. But they had started me on clomid anyway, and I couldn't figure out why. But after reading all your posts I guess I got some hope back. Well after not feeling so hot for a few days my neighbor told my to take a PG test I laughed and told her she was crazy. But I guess she put the bug in my head so I bought one...and can you believe it. It came back positive...so did the next 2...I go to the doctors on the 16th. I am so Happy!!! And I am so happy for everyone else who is having babies. And to everyone who is still trying...I blowing some PG dust your way...GOOD LUCK!!

I went to the lab to have an ultrasound yesterday. They had to do it ultravaginally because all you could see was the sac through my tummy. It looked like a peanut. I got to hear the heartbeat though. It was 120bpm. Does anyone know if you can tell the gender by that? I've heard a boy has a faster heart rate....but also that it's a myth. Anyways, I'm 6 weeks today, according to the lady doing the scan....so I have a LONG way to go.

rachelle - the old wives tale is less than 140, it's a boy, over 140, it's a girl. Of course, they say there's no truth to it, except . . . if it is consistently that way, your chances of it being right are about 5%. But, I know many people who still believe it and right - so who knows!

Hey guys. Here is my input on gender prediction. I also heard that under 140 bpm is boy. My first child was always under 140 bpm and was in fact a boy. My second child was 160 bpm and then dropped later in the pregnancy to 135 bpm and also is a BOY. So quite possible you have a boy. By the way congratulations!!!!!!!!! Enjoy your pregnancy it goes by so fast! Sara

Marisa - Congratulations on you BFP!!! You must be sooooo happy. Let us know how you go.

Thanks for all the answers. I pray it's a boy. I know I shouldn't care which that I get since it is a blessing I'm pregnant in the 1st place. But, It would be the 1st boy in my side of the family, and that would be so neat to me. How far alond do you have to be to see the gender thru an ultrasound?

MaggiesGma - October 11th, 2006 8:29 AM

Technically, I think it's possible at around 14 weeks, but not probable - usually they're stinkers and you end up trying to figure it out until 20 weeks or so.

Rachelle-Thanks for the hope and good luck with getting a boy. You should look at the chinese gender prediction test, it's goofy but it is usually accurate. As for me it's day 26 of my cycle I tested yesterday and it was negative, I am still holding out because when I was pregnant with my son it took till I was six weeks to show up.

Jenn9178 - October 15th, 2006 2:46 PM

Well it's cd 31 for me and still no period. I have some slight cramping in my back and in the front occasionally but it doesn't last long. No spotting so far. And I know I definitley ovulated because my progesterone level was 18 on cd21. So hopefully I am pregnant!

sesopko - October 15th, 2006 10:47 PM

hey Jenn, have you taken a preg. test yet? Good luck!!!!!!

lolashaw - October 15th, 2006 11:01 PM

Hello everyone,
I have a few questions. Ok here is my history. In Dec 05 I was diagnosed with PCOS and I actually was on clomid before but I stopped because I was discouraged. I am now looking to start again and today I took progesterone so that I am able to induce a menses. The last time that I was on clomid I ovulated 5 days after my last pill. What is the normal for ovulating....after how many days from the last pill? Also is there anyone that is underweight with PCOS. I have read that most people are overweight. I am 110lbs. I need some suggestions. I am lost and I need help.

rachelle-s. - October 16th, 2006 9:00 AM

Lolashaw- I also was diagnosed with PCOS, but since I'm only 105, they're not 100% sure I have it because I also don't have excess hair growth...so they thought just endometriosis. I've went to so many docs for opinions, and none are completely sure. The clomiphene for me made me ovulate 8 days after the last pill, but I accidentally took the pills on cd's 6-11 instead of 5-10. Good luck trying again.

Hello everyone well today I tested positive on my hpt. I can't believe it. I am 4w and 2d. I didn't think it would show up this early but I am thrilled regardless. I will keep you posted on my progress good luck to everyone.
