Pregnant Through Clomid

Jules - did the mucinex work for you? did you experience hostile cervical mucus? |

I have not experienced any problems with cervical mucas. I have not noticed anything different from the norm. To be honest with you, i am concerned, my husband has worked a completely different shift and I think that if we get pregnant it will be a miracle. I wasn't checking with and OPK. I feel like maybe I wasn't the most prepared for the clomid. I am excited to be on it though. Thanks to everyone. Baby dust to all~~~Jules, do you have any children. I don't have any and I am really desperate to have a child. I am completely open to adoption, but I think that sometimes the process for waiting for an infant, and the process of having to wait for someone to choose you, that has to be just as painful as this process right now. I know that GOD will take care of me in the best way that he sees fit. Baby dust to all~~~~~~~~~ |

Jules, I am 24 and have no children. That is why I want one so bad. I am even considering adoption. There are so many children out there. But as for your period ending early...did you take a pregnancy test? That could actually be a sign that you are pregnant. Mine has never ended early. I hope that it worked for you this month. Has anyone tried injectables or any other methods to conceive. IVF is a lttle out of my budget so I hope that I will be blessed very soon. Good luck to everyone |

mother2Bsoon--I have heard it works but I guess it did not work for me. :) I don't have any children also and I am 28 so I feel like my time is running out quick. My period started back on Sunday but now it has tapered off again. I have just told myself that I am NOT going to stress over it anymore. I cannot keep going through this disappointment. If I had my choice I would not be on clomid another month, but my husband truly wants me to continue to try. |

Hi ladies: just thought I would update you. it's been a while since I posted. Well, it turns out that my baby stopped developing at 6 weeks, and it never formed a heartbeat. It was announced to be a 'missed abortion' (type of miscarraige), and I had a D&C yesterday. Good news is that I shoudl get my period in anywhere from 2-6 weeks and can start trying again. So, I will soon be back on clomid. You guys have talked a lot obout the mucinex/robitussin. I used mucinex the month that I got pregnant on clomid. I took one pill a day starting from the day after I stopped clomid and took it everyday until I ovulated. It seemed to work for me! I'm praying I will have a better outcome next time, but at least I can tell you that clomid DOES work. I'm so glad to know that at least I can get pregnant! Good luck, ladies. |

michelleb- I'm so sorry that this happened to you and your husband. that has got to be devastating. I couldn't imagine what you're going through. I lost my twin, but it's not the same. I hope that the next month will be better for you. I do think you have a very positive outlook on the situation, and I admire that. Keep your head up. It'll happen when the time is right. Maybe God saved you a lifetime of heartache if something were to be terribly wrong. Just keep faith in him to make all things great! |

michelleB--I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine the pain you are feeling. I think you are one strong individual to have such a postive outlook on the whole situation. I wish you the best of luck here in the near future. :) |

I am going to start clomid in a month. I was reading throught everyone's posts and think I now totally understand how this all works. My questions is when should BD start after I finish the last pill? Also, how long should you keep BD after you O? Any info would be helpful, thanks |

MichelleB: I am so sorry. How are you and your husband holding out? My friend had the same thing happen to her last year. She and her husband were completely devastated but decided to keep trying. Three weeks ago she gave birth to a healthy boy, Dylan which she describes as: 10 fingers, 10 toes, and worth the wait. It will work out for you :-) Me- I just started another round of clomid. Took the first pill last night and so far no side effects outside nausea- way different than the first month. We'll see in days to come though... Shelley50707: the egg can survive up to 24 hours and sperm can live for up to three days. Given that combo I usually BD every other day up to ovulation and a few days after. I'm also doing IUI with a trigger shot so now I BD 2 days before, IUI the day of, and BD later that day and the days after. Not that any of this has worked for me, but that's my schedule :-) Good luck to everyone! |

Hi, I am being treated with clomid and duphaston. I have missed my period by 5 days. I took a pregnancy test today and it came out to be negative. My doctor told me to wait for another 5 days. I was told that with duphaston either I have to get my period on regular date or I should be pregnant. Please if some one has undergone such a condition, share with me! |

Hi all I have read some upsetting tells most seems mostly positive tells here and would like to share mine with you and ask a question which is very important to me right now and hope someone can help? Its my 27th birthday today and I am 3 weeks pregnant (so very excited but scared at the same time - I'm a worrier!). Well had it confirmed by a nurse yesterday that I am classified as 6 weeks pregnant but I have worked out to the day that we conceived so its actually 3 weeks pregnant! Well my husband and I have been trying ever since our marriage night 2 1/2 years ago and so this is a very excited time and a long waited one, I was diagnosed just before xmas as having POCS and was put on Metforim to help with my cycles again as irregular and apparently we got luck as conceived in the first cycle! Couldn't believe it after waiting 2 1/2 years naturally and one month of tablets and its happened!!! :-) I still taking my PregnaCare which is folic acid etc (multi vits) but I have been told only by a nurse to stop taking the metforim which I have done today but am worried that this isn't the right course of action. What have the rest of you on it doing once pregnant - have you stopped or what were you advised? So much appreciated to hear some advice, peace of mind!? Also good luck everyone trying I know you will get there like me and hope for the best, think positive, thats what my loving husband keeps telling me as I am also worried about miscarriage and even having sex now!! I know I'm a nightmare! |

so last night I took my last clomid pill and I'm happy to report that I experienced almost NO side effects this round. My doctor's appointment is on Saturday to check the follies and probably do a trigger shot. Then IUI I guess the following day. DH has to come with on Saturday to get his blood drawn too because we can't find his records and the RE wants 'em. He's so nervous because he's scared of needles and gets faint at the sight of blood. Ladies, there is a reason why men don't have babies. Anyway, how is everyone else doing? SARA SHEPARD: Congratulations on the baby. I don't know the answer to your question. I'm sure you can look it up online though :-) Where is everyone lately? |

Antswife- I have not had any side affects either this round except for the moodiness. I take everything very personal and cannot stop myself. It is so frustrating and my DH does not seem to be quite so understanding this month. I have not really been charting or anything this month. I have promised myself it will not consume me like it has the last three months. We are about to move into our new house next month and hopfully that will help keep my mind at ease. Tell your husband good luck. I am very afraid of needles too. I pass out at the sight of them. |

Hi everyone, I am new to this and it sure fills me full of faith hearing everyone's story and the support offered here. I found myself feeling very alone with everything. I have been trying to concieve for over 1 year(unsuccessful) adn just found out in November that I have PCOS. I did not have a period in over a year, so I was referred to a fertility docitor who ran the right tests. I took prometrium to induce period. I am on my first cycle of clomid (serophene) and I started day 5 of cycle. I am now on day 16. I have a couple of questions and if anyone could answer them I would so appreciate it! What is the benifit of robitusin and if you take it, what are the best days to? I am on day 16 and just took a Ovulation test (for the first time...I know you ar esupposed to start earlier than that) It showed that I had not surged yet. I am wondering if anyone knows wha they read after you ovulate and if there is still a considerable amount of LH present after ovulation. I have had considerable cramping for the last 4 days and I am concerned that something is wrong. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, when in your cycle? before or after ovulation? Is there anybenifit or drawback to having sex on a daily basis compared to every 2nd day like advised? My fiance's counts are fine so we have had sex every day. Is there any indication that if you start clomid on day 5-9, that you ovulate later or sooner (in comparison to day 3-8 like I have read others have done). Anyways those are my current questions and if anyone could shed light that would be awesome. Does anyone ese relate to the feeling that each time when you do a pregnancy test it is like a lottery ticket and the let down when you don't win? I hope to be a winner soon! I also feel very comforted to know there is a place I can discuss all this and not sound like I am obsessing or being too scientific. Thankyou all for your posts and the insight I have gained from your experience so far! |

Hello girls, finally its BFP!!!!!! I had my blood test also and HCG count is about 2500 which is supposed to be good one :-) I Ovulated with 100 mg of clomid. Previously with 50 mg of clomid there was no signs of ovulation. My DOC has suggested bed rest for 2 weeks after that I should have U/S. So I have taken off from work, I am getting bored sitting at home, still I am very happy. I got pregnant after 10 months of trying and I was diagnosed for PCOS in october and on treatment for it from then. filledwithfaith-- upto my knowledge, before and during ovulation LH level should be low and FSH level should be high. Usually you will ovulate 7-8 days after a course of clomid. even I had faced this problem, I did not ovulate with clomid, I waited till 24th day. later for the next dose I was given 100 mg of clomid with metformin 100 mg three times a day. My ovaries finally responded to this!!!!!!! Some people do feel the pain during ovulation, but I dont have anything like this personally. hope this helps. All the best!!!!!!!!! |
