HI Amayharv, this is my first month on clomid and the last pill was 8 days ago. I know exactly how you feel. I had a miscarriage one year ago and we've been trying but nothing. I hope and pray I get good news this month. Please don't get discouraged I know how you feel. It;s like everywhere I look theres pregnant women everywhere. My sister has a 11 month old baby and wasn't even trying my sister in law is 4 months pregnant on her first try being on clomid. The doctor started me on 100 mg so I'm hoping this will be the month cause I noticed that I'm very emotional too. So think postive and I know its easier sad than done but just wait maybe this will be our year,.... :)

Well tomorrow i start my 2nd round of clomid, I'm very sad i thought it was going to work this month but nothing. I want to scream and cry, i know my hubby is also depressed, for over a year we been trying and nothing. We waited for 10 years to have a baby maybe that was to long.... Well lets see if this time it works, I just had to vent a little my friends don't understand and every time we get together theu ask me are u pregnant, and it just gets me so upset, but i still smile and say no. Thank you for who ever is reading this!

Hang in there ladies!! Clomid worked for me on the second month. I had a lot of luck with the OPK, so definately try to use those. Unfortunately, I miscarried at 9 weeks, but we will get back on Clomid in a couple of months and I have no doubt we will get pregnant again. This really works! Just relax...that's what I did the month I got pregnant. I think when you get too worked up about it, it has a negative effect on your body.

Hi Stacy, I was wondering when on the clomid did you also go through insemination or did you just take it along with regular intercourse. Starting Clomid this month and just curious because my Dr. gave me the option and I wasn't for sure if it was neccessary. Twins!!!! How exciting I hope for the same :)

Jules78 - March 30th, 2007 9:31 AM

hey girls --- i have not been on here in a long while but I am having weird things happen to me. march was my 4th month on clomid. I started on Feb 26th and have been very regular with my cycles starting on the 26-28th of each month, well here it is March 30th and still no period and no sign of it. By my caclulation I am now 5 days late and I have taken 2 test but have been BFN! I know for sure that I did ovulate because I had a 21 day progestrine test done. Has this happened to anyone else? It is really hard not to get your hopes up but I have been reading that my period could still come at anytime. Please help!!! :)

michelleB - April 3rd, 2007 4:59 PM

Jules: You very well might be pregnant, but remember that February is the shortest month of the year, so you can't bank on always starting on the 26-28th each month(especially since you had 2-3 days less than normal in Feb). What I would do is count days from the start of your period to the start of the next for the last 3-4 cycles. Then average them out and count out days for this month. So, from the day you started your last period, count forward. Or, do you know the exact day you ovulated? If you are pregnant, it shoudl show up by 14 days after ovulation. When I was pregnant, it showed up 12dpo. Good luck!!!! Keep us updated! I will be back on clomid in May (I lost my first clomid baby in Jan). I hope more people will start posting again!

I'll post :D but I am planning on taking the conversation to a new thread (not yet started) on the General Pregnancy forum.. I plan to start Clomid around June 5th.. I am hoping for twins (to increase my chances of having a girl) but I'll be happy with just one. I have 2 boys already, ages 1 and 3..

Jules78 - April 4th, 2007 7:33 AM

michelleB-thanks for the reply. I actually started on Monday 4/2. I guess my system just was a little messed up and I am wondering now if I could possibly have PCOS. The more I read on it the more I think that could possibly be part of the problem. I go in next week for an HSG (?) test. That is where they will insert dye in my tubes to make sure they are working correctly. I start my fifth round of clomid today. I am really sorry about losing your baby I wish you better luck in May. I hope people will start posting again to, but I know when I got very discouraged I quit coming on here. But I am back and full of hope. :)

rhonda79 - April 4th, 2007 8:59 PM

Hi Everyone. I was just wondering if anyone knew if clomid pregnancies had a higher incidence of miscarriage vs non-clomid pregnancies?

michelleB - April 6th, 2007 10:44 AM

Hi Rhonda: No, clomid does not increase your chances of miscarraige. As someone who took clomid and miscarried, it was a question I asked my dr. and she said definately not.

ChrisNFran - April 9th, 2007 10:51 PM

Sorry about that...anyways frequent urination. I just had a blood test today to see if I o'd, but I was just wondering if anyone else had these symptoms late in the cycle that were just due to clomid and not being pregnant. I get so excited everytime I fell I may be, that I don't want to get my hopes up. I'm going to wait until the 16th (cd30) to take a hpt, and hopefully we'll be pregnant. Thanks to anyone who has advice...and good luck to all!!

ChrisNFran - April 9th, 2007 10:58 PM

Sorry the first part of my comment didn't post. We've been trying for 1 1/2 to get pg, but i had irregular periods when I got off the pill. My doc said to wait a full year and then we'll start test. So at 1 year I started having blood tests done again, an HSG and 2 rounds of provera to start my period, and my hubby had a semen test done; all the tests came back fine, in fact my hubby is "rambo" in my docs words :) But stil not pregnancy. So on March 22 (cd5-9) i began my first round of clomid, now I'm on CD23 and have extreme breast tenderness, abdom. pain, and freq. urination....the rest is in the above post...sorry

Jules78 - April 10th, 2007 7:33 AM

ChrisNFran-I wish the best of luck to you. You very well could be pregnant with all the symptoms. I truly thought I was pregnant last month too because I had all those symptoms but actually my period was just a week late. But with you I hope it is a different story. I just finsihed my fifth round of clomid this month and go have an HSG test tomorrow. You said you have been through this test. DId it hurt? I am very scared for one because it might hurt and I am a big wimp or that the doc will tell me I will never get pregnant. I am not sure how I will take that news. How old are you, if you don;t mind me asking? I am about to be 29 and have no children, I sometimes feel I am running out of time.

ChrisNFran - April 10th, 2007 10:36 AM

Jules78-Thanks...I don't want to get to excited, so I think it's good for me to here that it's sometimes normal on clomid to feel like this. I'm 24 and I had the HSG in February. I was very nervous before the test, and for me I found it a little painful. It's a lot of pressure and discomfort. My doc told me to take 4 advil 2 hours before the test to alieve some of the pain. I had cramping throughout the entire day, and then the next 2 days it was like I was on my period again, but my doc said that this was normal. This was just for me though, I have friends who thought the test was a breeze. It's great to get the results right away though. Good luck to you...you'll be in my prayers

ChrisNFran - April 10th, 2007 10:49 AM

While on Clomid, has anyone else had weird side effects like vidid and strange dreams and I've been very ditzy recently. I ask my husband the same questions multiply times

Jules78 - April 10th, 2007 10:56 AM

Thanks for the reply. I hope the test will be a breeze. On the dream question, come to think about it I have had strange dreams. they were so real feeling that when I woke up I actually thought it was true. I keep having dreams that my husband leaves me for another woman and I do not fear that on an everyday basis whatsoever. But now that I thought about it this could very well be part of the clomid. I am sure m husband will be glad to know that.
