I just wanted to give a little update...I went to the Dr today, and he said I am 6 weeks a few days along. He did an ultrasound, and we saw the uterus with fluid, and the yolk sac. He was looking for the heart beat, but didn't see it, so I have another ultrasound on 5/7. He says it's proabably since I'm still so early in the pregnancy, but I'll rest better once we see it. I'm just hoping that this first trimester goes smoothly and I don't miscarry.
Kayleighxx- I didn't have PCOS, but I did have unexplained anovulation, and I would go 3-4 months once I went 5 months without a period, and I conceived on clomid. Good luck.

Hello everyone! I've read and read and have decided it's my turn to post my story. I am 28 years old, dh is 35 and we have been ttc for 1 year and 3 months. What a rollercoaster this has been. I am on my second cycle of clomid. First round at 50mg which was unsucessful and now I'm on 100mg. I've had the 3day cycle blood test, the HSG, and also had an endometrial biopsy which all thankfully came back normal. My dh has also been tested and he is normal as well. I took the clomid my first two cycles on days 5-9, but if it doesn't work I'm going to switch to days 3-7. I haven't gotten any injectibles or and iui. I did take preseed the second cycle. I'm on cycle day 21 and praying for a miracle. Like most of the woman here while ttc it seems that everyone around you is getting pregnant by a drop of a hat and it's so depressing! I try to be happy for them but it's really hard when either they weren't trying at all or got a positive on their first month without even being on meds. Since last weekend I've been feeling sick in my stomach a lot and had some really bad heartburn which I don't get. I'm sure it's too early to have pregnancy symptoms but man I am sure hoping that is what it is!! I have my f/u apt on the 8th and we will see what's in store next for my dh and I. I wish everyone the best of luck in having their bundle of joy. It's so sad to see all these woman who are having a tuff time ttc but it's also comforting knowing I am not alone. Btw I do use opks and they seem to be working great for me. Again best of luck on the bfp's!!!

I've read everyone's responses/stories and here's mine. I'm 27 with a 7 year old girl and on my second month of clomid—last month was 50mg, this month is 100mg. I accidentally took it on 4-8 this month but it was at night, so I'm hoping it's okay. I started having cramps on CD15 and it's now CD21 and they're still there—feels very strange compared to normal cramps. I also have tingly sensations in my boobs starting yesterday, headaches, hot flashes, and I'm so tired all the time all I want to do is sleep. When I did take OPK, they would come back with faint pos but never a thick dark line. DH and I BD'ed a ridiculous amount (something like 20+ times in the last two weeks) which is probably overkill, but we just want a baby so badly. I even did the thing where I lie down after each time and raise my legs. I have all these symptoms and after reading respones, I'm thinking it's probably just the clomid and I should not get my hopes up yet. I've suffered Endometriosis for over five years and I'm losing hope that my body even works at all, but since I did have cramps and everything, I have to conclude that I at least ovulated, right? My doctor isn't monitoring me—although he did determine I wasn't ovulating on my own. After my last laporoscopy (last summer), he said my ovaries looked perfect or whatever and with clomid I should have no problems getting pregnant. Anyway, did anyone else have these problems with OPKs and symptoms going on forever? I didn't have this problem with clomid 50mg. Well, it's only CD21, so here's to hoping!

Hi, I am 29, with PCOS and TTC with clomid, estradiol, prochieve and metformin. I am showing OPK +ve on 100mg clomid. This is my 3rd cycle on clomid. I am o on CD 15, BD the same day and the next day. But, not getting preg.... Is there anything else you girls did??? I am desperate.....

michelleB - May 31st, 2007 10:33 AM

Paularay: is your dr. doing ultrasounds on you before you ovulate to see if you have any mature follicles? Just b/c you get a +ive on the OPK does not necessarily mean that you have mature eggs being ovulated. My dr. normally does an ultrasound around day 12 to see if clomid is producing mature eggs and also to check my lining to make sure it is thick enough to support a fertilized egg. I just had mine yesterday and have 2 mature follicles. one is 18mm and one is 20mm. So, she thinks i will probably ovulate 2 eggs this month. I figure this is good news since it must increase my chances of at least one being fertilized. Girls, stick with clomid...it works...have faith. I got pregnant in November on my 2nd round of clomid. Unfortunately I miscarried at 10 weeks, but at least I know I can get pregnant.

AntsWife - May 31st, 2007 12:48 PM

Hi MichelleB. I was wondering how you were doing lately, So glad to see you're back! And on clomid again. It really does work- I'm entering my second trimester now. Wow, never thought I'd hear myself say that. I remember you saying you had a trip in April and were going to start trying after that. How many cycles so far?

SomedayMommy - May 31st, 2007 1:13 PM

Antswife-Hi there, first of all congratulations on your pregnancy! I was just wondering about your history w/clomid. I am too on clomid, 3rd round, and am getting very discouraged. Did you achieve your bfp w/clomid and iui? What days were you taking it and how long? I'd appreciate all information you have for me. Thanks and again congratulations!

AntsWife - May 31st, 2007 5:02 PM

Hi Somedaymommy: I started clomid back in November. I went one cycle but then developed a cyst so I skipped the next cycle but did IUI. After that I had to skip another cycle of clomid- still for the cyst, and I skipped the IUI as well. Then 2 more cycles of clomid + IUI and whala! Here I am. Conception was 3/10. It felt like FOREVER. I was only on 50 mg of clomid and I had a fantastic response to it. But I think the thing that actuallky worked, because I always ovluated anyway, was the IUI. Incidentally getting an IUI is quicker than a pap. I was surprised. Oh yeah, I was on cd 3-7. Hope everything works out for you!!!!

SomedayMommy - May 31st, 2007 5:09 PM

Antswife~ Thanks for the respond! Wow that's so great. Oot of curiosity did you have pay out of pocket for the iui and how much was it? Are you on the east or west coast? My insurance won't cover any of it and after one more cycle of clomid and injectables I will be moving onto iui.

michelleB - June 1st, 2007 3:39 PM

Antswife!!!!!!! it's great to hear from you. I had no idea you were pregnant! Congratulations...that is SO wonderful! I am a true believer of clomid too. Even though I lost the first one, I know I will get pregnant again. Why did you do IUI? Was it an issue with your husband's sperm? My dr. made it sound like as long as my hubby's sperm is fine, there's no point in doing IUI. Just curious. This is my first cycle of clomid. I am on day 16 and still have not O'd (i'm a late Oer, though). I had my follicle scan on wed, adn I have two really nice sized eggs, so she said I will ovulate 2 eggs this month. I'm crossing my fingers. I'm so beyond ready to be preggo.

AntsWife - June 4th, 2007 5:20 PM

MichelleB: How is the first cycle going for you this round? Looking back I can't believe I surived the clomid experience, then again my side effects were bad :-) I don't understand why your doctor made it seem like IUI is dependant on DH' sperm. My hubby's sperm actually recieved compliments from the doctors because the count was so high. I can't imagine any other forum where a compliment on dh's sperm would be acceptable... Anyway, there are other factors like hostile cm, and things like that which can play into it. My doctor said that even though everything looked fine with me and DH, the combination of IUI + clomid would increase our odds. And that most women are pregnant after three rounds. Can't argue with that since I"m sitting here 14 weeks along :-) only 6 more weeks until I find out the sex (I'm pretty sure it's a girl ;-) btw- the procedure takes all of 2 minutes- literally!

michelleB - June 5th, 2007 4:03 PM

Antswife: Maybe she just feels like we don't need IUI since we got pregnant our second month on clomid. Not sure. I SURE am glad that you are doing so well! I got a +OPK yesterday and I know that I am ovulating today b/c I have been having pains all day. They are worse than the first 2 months of clomid I did. Maybe because I'm ovulating 2 eggs this month. I don't think clomid is all that bad...teh only side effect I get is HORRRIBLE hot flashes. I hate them, but I'll deal with whatever I have to to get preggo. What makes you think you are having a girl??

brollieann - June 6th, 2007 12:32 AM

I will be starting clomid as soon as I begin my period. I have read through some of your comments and have questions of my own. My story is some what complicated but would love to have support, answers, advice, etc. am I at theright place?

michelleB - June 6th, 2007 10:09 AM

Brollieann: Yep, that's what this forum is for. I'm on my first round of clomid after miscarrying in January after getting pregnant on my second round of clomid. I am now in the 2 week wait. Let me know if you have any questions and I would love to give you any help I can...

brollieann - June 6th, 2007 2:13 PM

Thanks so much. Is there a higher risk of miscarrying when you take Clomid?
