wv_red: that's fantastic! Congratulations! Let us know how your appointment goes! Kendra.marie: i have never heard of Vitrex. Is it supposed to have the same effect as clomid? From this site, you can see that clomid really works!

CgGirl: I'm SO glad your ultrasound turned out well!!! I have freakouts about once a day, so I can completely relate to your worrying. My latest is that my lower back has been hurting, so I'm afraid that means I'm miscarrying. It never ends! I had my first ultrasound last wed. I was 6 weeks, 2 days adn we saw and heard the heartbeat! Amazing!! I have another ultrasound next Wednesday and my RE told me that if it is good, the chance of miscarraige will drop down to less than 2%. I have been feeling REALLY crappy everyday all day. I sure am looking forwad to the first trimester being over!!

I hope its ok that I start with you all. I am 25 and have been ttc for almost a year with my husband. We have been married 4 years. I went to the ob and was given provera to start a cycle since I am annovulatory with few cycles a year and clomid on cycle day 5-9. Currently I am on cd15 and no sign of O yet with opks. Not to bad side effects of clomid but had hot flashes, headache and moodiness. I also had bad cramps & backaches that woke me up at night. Just hoping for a positive sign that I Od and then I can relax a little knowing that the clomid at least worked.

MichelleB: I'm so glad you had a heart beat! When is your due date? Mine is May 9th. Don't worry too much about the pain. My Dr. told me that after a heart beat is detected, the chances of miscarriage are under 5%, so hang in there, less than a week before your next u/s. Mine will only be at 12 weeks, so got a long way to wait!

CgGirl: Due May 5th! You and I are close! I'm glad to hear that statistic of losing the baby after hearing the heartbeat. Every little thing helps!!

Michelle B glad to hear that your ultrasound was good, too! ANd wv_red....CONGRATULATIONS!!! Yay for your BFP. That is awesome that Clomid worked so soon for you. Hopefully it will for me, too. Jules78, we have only been trying for 3 months, but i knew something was wrong when I was doing my BBT and not getting any shifts all month. I went yesterday to do the sonogram to see if I have any follicles, and I have one that is half way ready, so if I ovulate, it will be 5-7 days. The doc gave us instructions on when to BD : ) Funny. Anyway, I go back in one week to see if i DID indeed ovulate. Dreams4 bump, Welcome. Is your doctor not monitoring to see if you have ovulated? Or did he tell you to do OPK's. I have to go in all the time it seems. Baby dust to everyone!!!

MichelleB: That's so cool! I'll have someone who is going through the same thing at the same time! And I understand you because I am a "worry machine" myself. Although I'm trying to be calm right now, it's not always easy. Every day that goes by without a problem is a good thing. That's how I try to live through it. Ash78: I hope everything works well for you this month!

Hi laides! Hope you don't mind if I join you! Congrats on all of the BFP's! I'm currently ttc #2 & am on round 2 of Clomid/hcg trigger shot. I did ovulate last month (Finally) with Clomid, but just did not get pg, so I'm hoping this may be my month! I'm currently on CD4, so I've still got awhile. I have my shot on CD14, so I should O on CD15. (They aren't doing an u/s this month to check follicle size).

michelle - September 21st, 2007 12:59 PM

Hi, I am 25 ttc #1. I have been off bc for 2-3 years w/very irregular cycles. Last year i did 50 mg clomid for 3 months. no luck. Just started 100mg clomid cd 5-9 this month. Today is cd 13. My average cd length is 44. Hoping to get bfp soon! The only side effect i'm having this time around are frequent hot flashes. How many are there here ttc and how many have their bfp's?

Ash78 - September 27th, 2007 11:07 AM

Welcome Meg and Michelle! Michelle, I am on my first month of Clomid. Michelle, I am wondering what makes the doctor decide to give the trigger shot? I went yesterday to see if I had o'd, and I had a good follicle that was 19.23. They said that it should drop in the next 2-3 days, and I should bd a lot. BUT, they also said that I need to come back Monday to make sure it dropped. Is that what happens with you? You form the egg, but they need to help it come on down? Just curious. I was sooooo happy to see that it had grown. When I went last wednesday, the follicle was only at 10. So I HOPE it will happen. Also, trying to be patient. Welcome you 2 and baby dust!

Jules78 - September 27th, 2007 11:29 AM

Michelle-I am still trying for my BFP. We are at exactly a year this month. I was just DXed with PCOS on Sept. 4th.

shemi99 - September 28th, 2007 11:25 AM

I am new here and am very glad I found this forum. Me and my husband have been trying to conceive for about a year. I won't say we have been very active about it. The doctors considered us trying since we were having unprotected sex with no methods of birth control. I have PCOS and was diagnosed at about age 16. I have been on birth control pills every since. I am 26 now. I got off of birth control pills about a year ago and would only get a cycle every 3 or 4 months without the aid of provera or prometrium. If I did get AF without medication it would last past 20 days (heavy) and they would have to give me medication to stop it due to my iron getting really low and me running the risk of needing a blood transfusion. I just started Clomid one month ago. Side effects were so so. Hot flashes and mood swings being the worse. When I went in for an ultrasound b/c I hadn't gotten AF, they found two cysts that had developed so they stopped the clomid and put me on Birth control pills for 2 weeks. The BC was to stop my hormones from feeding the cysts. I go to the Dr. next thursday to see if they are gone and to start back clomid. MY OPK said i ovulated on the 11th day. The dr. found that weird since most people don't ovulate early. Maybe I read the OPK wrong. If the line is the same shade as the control line that's positive right or does it have to be darker? I look forward to more people starting to post back on the forum. I notice the activity has died down. I started reading from the beginning and haven't been able to stop. Thanks for your support and advance. -Shemika-

Hi, Shemika. Welcome to the sight! I hope good things happen for you soon. It dies seem the site has slowed down, but hopefully more will get on! I can't see what you wrote, because when I logged on, it took everything away except this area! But good luck and hope to hear some more soon!

Rowan - October 1st, 2007 2:25 PM

hello Ash78 - how is your mth on clomid going? This is my 2nd month I did days 1-5 150mg. Problem is I think I o'd this a.m cd8 & we were not ready for it so soon. I feel devastated b/c we bd'd friday night at 11 & thats it!

Ash78 - October 1st, 2007 3:47 PM

Hi Rowan. It would REALLY surprise me if you already o'd. Are you doing OPK's or BBT? I would think it would take at least 2 more days. BUT I am no doctor. My doc says you usually on 5-9 days after your last pill. But I am on cd 25 (just went to the doc this am) have a big follicle at 24.5, ready to drop, and hasnt!!! They gave me the HCG shot this am and i am supposed to BD tonight. So my point is, we are all different. I have been going to the doc every 5-7 days for him to monitor my follicles and ovaries and to see if I have ovulated. I would ask your doc if he could help you out a little more. I am going AGAIN on thursday to see if the shot worked. For me, Clomid worked as far as forming an egg, now we just need it to come on down!!! I hope you have success and have not missed your opportunity. GOod luck and keep me updated.

Rowan - October 2nd, 2007 12:07 PM

Ash78 - thanks I hope your right...but what would the brown spotting be from on cd 8 (3 days after I was done clomid days 1-5)? No I am not doing opk....have never used them. I think next month I will start BBT. Hope your big guys dropped for you today & your timely was impecable!
