we are trying to conceive #3. We have not used any form of birth control for almost 20 months and have been actively trying for 10 months. My doctor is putting me on clomid 100mg day 2-7 next month (september). They also found something wrong with my insulin levels...i guess i produce more insulin than i need to...so they are putting me on a med for that also. i guess i am wondering if my chances are increased for twins. I know I was fertile 3 years ago b/c I had 2 girls and they are 12 months apart. Hopefully, clomid will do the job!

mommien2girls - good luck with clomid I am on my 2nd mth & finding my cycle different than usual. I take mine at night it really helped to lessen the headache I get. We are on the same dose & days. Good luck to all.

I was just wondering do you only take clomid for 5 days say 2-7 while your having you period or after.or do you take it agin sometime in your cycle???

You count the first day of real bleeding as CD1 (Cycle Day 1) some docs prescribe CD1-CD5, and all of the combinations up to CD5-CD9. Thats the only time you take it. It give your ovaries a kick start, then you will ovulate 7-10 days after the last tablet.
Your chances of multiples are considerably higher, most ppl who take unprescribed clomid do so in the hopes of achieving a multiple pregnancy. Ask your doctor for an early ultrasound (Dating scan) and you will find out how many you have.

Ok thanks,do you have a higer chance on higer dose or is 50 mg enough if alreading ovulating.I have heard that you take it say 2-7 days and your estrogen days?or normally do you take it for 5 days and than in a few days just keep having intercourse.is there anyway to increase also he chance of a girl not that really matters as I just adore babies,kids,children !!!!!! does anyone know what the chances are when already ovulating and on 50 mg clomid and I have been cleared for cysts and had all checkups but want to know the chances and weather I should take 50mg or 100mg??

IMO, 50mg or 100mg makes no difference if you already ovulate, but each to their own - everyones body reacts in different ways. I would like to conceive multiples. I am wanting to use Clomid, but I have irregular cycles. I would not know when to take it? Is there anything I can take to regulate me?

but apparently clomid kinda regulates you anyway, another woman on here took it on the 1st of the month, and then her periods became more regular and she could take it on her next cycle

I took Clomid for one month and got pregnant. My dr. has my one progesterone 8% to help sustain the pregnancy. Anyone else on this and have you had good luck with it?? Thanks! (-:

I'm curious- when taking 200mg of Clomid, do you take it twice a day or all at once? I wa given scrip by RE back when I had insurance and my last IVF failed. I never get my period naturally, only BC pills bring it on. I just finished and have enough Clomid for 200mg a day. I last tried 150mg a day but didn't ovulate. I think my ovaries were just so used to the strong injectible Follistim that they see Clomid as nothing at all. I want to try the 200mg, but wonder if I should split the dose and take 100mg twice a day. Anyone know what to do in this situation?
