Actually there IS evidence that clomid does something to the lining of your uterus making in inhospitable...that is why more ladies m/c while using it... than those who conceive spontaneously. And it can interfere with conception in general because it drys up your cervical fluid and can shorten your luteal phase.

Your chance of a m/c with multiples is MUCH higher. Your risk with a singleton goes down after the 1st tri but ... The risk of pregnancy loss w/ multiples is increased in later trimesters as well. There can be so many complications with fluids, fetal growth, placenta problems. I never differeniated between clomid and spontaneously twins...I made the remark "why would you put yourself at risk if you didn't have to". Those who conceived spontaneously had no choice if they wanted a child, but you do. I also never said m/c late in pg is caused by clomid. Just that your chances of m/c goes up with multiples.
Uh...yeah clomid stimulates your ovaries so you drop more than one egg...I'd say that your body didn't do it naturally so yeah it wasn't meant to happen spontaneously. If it were, you wouldn't need the clomid. Ignorant...nope, methinks you are the one deluding yourself.
You say that it is okay cause Dr. prescribe it for ladies. Those ladies HAVE no choice as they can not conceive on their own...YOU can. It is like having dangerous surgery to your body just because you can....
You need to do your reseach on multiple pg as you are incredibly naive. I would think someone who has had major complications both during pg and other, would steer away from multiples as twin will excerbate any preexisting problems you have. I would bet your Dr. would be appalled at your actions. YOu are awfully cavalier with your health and health of your future child.
Yes you will be monitored closely and treated the same as anyone else pg with multiples but that doesn't mean complications won't arise. Those who disagree can not fathom why someone would put themselves, their spouses, family and an innocent child thru that if they don't have to. Did you also know that the divorce rate is high among parents of multiples. Doesn't sound as if you have good communication to start with as you are willing to lie to your dh about clomid. It is sad that you are willing to risk your child and yourself to these:
Complications of the Fetus and Newborn with Multiple Gestation• Preterm birth occurs in over 50% of twin pregnancies, 90% of triplet pregnancies, and virtually all quadruplet pregnancies.• Compared to singleton pregnancies, a twin is seven times more likely and a triplet is over 20 times more likely to die in the first month of life.• Prematurity is associated with an increased risk of respiratory distress syndrome (RDS), intra-cranial hemorrhage, cerebral palsy, blindness, low birth weight, and neonatal morbidity and mortality. RDS accounts for 50% of all neonatal deaths associated with premature birth.• Intrauterine growth restriction, intrauterine death of one or more fetuses, miscarriage, and congenital anomalies are all more common.• Lifelong disability is over 25% for babies weighing less than 1,000 grams (2 lbs., 3 oz
Maternal Complications Associated with Multiple Gestation• Preeclampsia, also called pregnancy-induced hypertension, occurs three to five times more frequently.Severe preeclampsia may be life threatening.• Premature labor requiring prolonged bed rest or hospitalization is common. • Placental abnormalities associated with maternal hemorrhage are more likely to occur.• Gestational diabetes, anemia, and polyhydramnios (excess amniotic fluid) occur more frequently.• Cesarean section is often needed for twin pregnancies and almost always required for triplets.
I can't respect your choice just like I can't respect the heroin or meth user on the street corner. You are abusing yourself and putting your potential children at risk just so you can have twins. YOu just don't get that twins are risky no matter how they come about.
