I am trying to learn the most I can about my pregnancy. I know there is a lot of info on the web, but to me a lot of it isn't credible. Does anyone have any suggestions for good books about pregnancy? I am slowly working my way through What to Expect when you are expecting. It is good but a long read!! Anyone have any suggestions? thanks!!

hi alexis,
i love Pregnancy Childbirth and the Newborn by Penny Simkin, Janet Whalley and Ann Pepper. This book is very detailed and extremely informative. it has everything you want to know. More than you could possibly read! This book has been my pregnancy bible. Good Luck

I really enjoyed reading "The Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy" by Vicki Iovine.

I practically memorized "What to Expect When Expecting" during my first pregnancy. The only thing I did not like about it was how unfriendly it was to plus sized women. (If you are, and you read it, you know what I mean.) Has anyone found a pregnancy book that's friendly to large ladies?

I have to agree with you, that book "What to Expect When Expecting" is written for skinny white women, everyone else is an afterthought.

"BELLY LAUGHS"! Gotta read it By Jenny McCarthy. So funny and lets you know the stuff the proper books dont tell you.
