I was told each contraction would start in my back and move to the front and that's exactly what it did. They feel a lot like cramps, only worse but the good thing is that unlike cramps they come in intervals instead of nonstop. If this is your first it is actually kind of exciting to go into labor, I think you'll know when you are having them.

Contractions start anywhere! I am 34 weeks pregnant and I'm getting really bad Braxton Hicks Contractions...sometimes I get them in my back and goes around my belly, or I get them on just hips/sides, your contractions can start anywhere! It's really hard to describe them. Every women is different so she can experience them different. I heard they feel like really bad menstrual cramps and even someone putting pressure on your back or tummy (like pressing really hard on your back or tummy).
