my goodness ladies! It is your own risk if you want to add more fumes into your bloodstream while pregnant. your smelling everything else around you that you may or may not be aware of...pollution, gasoline for car, etc. I know that just increases more health problems. just be careful. what i have read that you can dye your hair just as long your in a ventalited area. But i would rather wait. I'm only 8 months as well.

I bleached my hair in the first trimester with my first born and he is a perfictly fine little boy and now that im pregnant again i just bleached it today and im 7wks pregnant. just because your pregnant doesnt mean you cant live a little. It is best to use bleach or highlights cause it doesnt touch you scalp. i have to friends as hairdressers and they both agree it is safe as long as it is not fumy....tyr useing calidascope brand dye in your hair salon..it doesnt smell strong at all a little like blueberries. thats my opinion and a little knowlage from some friends. if you are in doubt then trust your instinct though. the most inportant thing is you and your baby :-)

My OB said absolutely, it was fine. Get it professionally done, so that the fumes aren't concentrated, etc. Make sure your stylist works in a well ventelated area. Really, she said the ONLY thing to even consider was the fume issue, and if well aired out it was FINE, the baby would not be affected at all.

OMG!!! i dyed my hair last nit and i want a med. brown it was called coffee!!it did not turn out to be just that in fact my har is blk, i could not stop laughing my boyfriend dyed laughing for about an hour, so the answer to that would please go to get it professional done!!!right..the hormones in your body changes your hair color~!!!!

I had my baby 3months ago and I dyed my hair throughout my pregnancy! I always put her first which is why I asked my Dr. who said it was safe and to the other women.. NO!! the chemicals cannot go through your blood stream. and.. my baby is perfectly healthy!!!

is it safe to get a perm while I'm pregant?

i have naturally blonde hair but it tends to darker up a little when i'm not out in the sun all the time. will putting sun-in in my hair hurt my baby??

LOOK, it is perfectly safe to dye your hair during pregnancy altough the fumes may bother you more. I have looked this one up many times and asked a few doctors. Back in the day this was not safe but dyes are very safe now. You can dye your hair. But, the hormones could affect the color your hair turns out. A pretty golden blone pre pregnancy may be a horrible orange first trimester. Many salons recommend waiting till the second trimester because of this hormonal reaction.

I wouldn't think bleach would be safe because it's so strong in chemical, as long as the color doesn't go on your scalp it should be okay but I would say not to color your hair period while pregnant, better to be safe than sorry.

I did a very stupid thing. All through my pregnancy was Ok and last week being 8 months pregnant bleached my hair but because it was too light i dyed it brown the next day. I did it by myself at home and washed it under the shower so am very afraid that the paint touched my skin. I feel so stupid and quilty and panicking that sth will happen to the baby.
