Some woman naturally have a low level of hcg. In our town, anything under 5 is considered negative. There are a lot of woman who have low levels of hcg all the time, so I would believe your doc., that it is negative and you are not pregnant.

mdm2004 - this sounds stupid but I've been through this type of deal where your body feels one way and the test says another. I would try just a regular store brand. I've had better luck with the Target brand pregnancy test than the epts. And angeleyes2006 if you don't feel comfortable starting your pills than use condoms for now. I miscarried last year. I had to go for weekly blood draws to make sure that my hcg level went down. Even when my hcg level was at 5 they had me come in a week later to make sure it was at zero. I would just wait it out a little longer....

I'm in the same boat.. ttc2 No period late 7 days 3 hpt all negative, at different times of the day and different hpt and then 1 blood test negative.. WHAT NOW Do I take another blood test.. I heard once blood test negative it's NEGATIVE - totally discouraged

Hi all,
My story is mostly a repeat of all those already posted. It's been almost seven weeks since my last period, which is very abnormal for me. I've taken about eight urine tests, one of which was at the doctors, and one blood test, the results of which I found out today. All have come back negative.

Right now I'm just in limbo. I will personally only take either a positive pregnancy test or my period starting as a straight answer. My mother actually had a low hcg during her pregnancies which was not detected through tests until her second month of pregnancy. I gave her a detailed account of what possible symptoms I have been experiencing and they matched with what she experienced almost exactly--including a craving for tomato sauce. Who knows? Only time will tell.

I would just like to remind everyone that even though modern medicine is highly advanced, it is not perfect, and the same charts and levels will simply not apply to every woman. As you can see on this thread already, several women do get negative results on blood tests and end up being pregnant later. Everyone is different.

I don't know about the rest of you, but if I do end up being pregnant, I am seriously going to raise awareness of false negatives. These past few weeks have been so hard for me, and it breaks my heart to think of all of you ladies out there going through the same thing. Women need to know!

Sorry for the double post: by my mom's "second month of pregnancy" I meant that she had finished the second month; I should have said her third month, I guess. :)

well i am not really sure, i know that as of today i am almost 2 months late, over the past month i have had an increase in headaches, nausea, and freqently visiting the bathroom. last saturday 7-29-06 i ended up at the hospital e.r. with stomach cramping that radiated from my left side to the bottom of my stomach. with no bleeding or even a sign of bleeding. while i was there, they did a pelvic exam. and they drew blood..the doc came back in the room a few hours later and told me that it was a negative blood test for pregnancy. and that my white blood cells were normal. all week i have felt really tired. i have noticed an increase in appetite..at certain times of the day. i get headaches it seems like they are more than once a day lately..if theres anyone out there who has any advice i am up for it..thanks for taking the time to read this.

Hi, I'm new to this, because I guess my situation is new, so I'll be brief. I have the symptoms everyone else has, had all neg tests and neg blood test, but I feel my pregnancy signs like when I was prego with my daughter. I also feel something inside of me. At my ob exam, my dr started the internal exam, was in there for about 3 seconds and yelled, are you pregnant? I now regret not asking him what he saw to make him think that. He wanted a sono and blood, but my insurance will only cover the sono if I have a positive blood test. So needless to say the next day I had a neg. blood test, and now my dr is on vacation for a week, and no one else from the office has returned my calls. My first was concieved after 5 invitros, so I know it is probably slim that could be, but my symptoms, especially the gagging and morning sickness aren't going away. I even tried to put it out of my mind after the blood test being negative, but I still have it and all of the other symptoms everyone else has.

hi Nickih, sorry ive not responded to the message you left me. ive not felt well enough to come on here. Basically they finally did an ultasound on me and said i had a misscarrage, i would have been 2 1/2 months pregnant. Im trying to deal with it as best i can but i seem to be just not realising what has happened to me, so i guess you could say i havnt dealt with it properly yet.

It’s been 5 months sense my last period and I went to the health services and they took my blood and spun it then they took the top layer that looks like urine in a syringe and put it on a home pregnancy test and it came out negative. I’m a heavy set woman but I’m never late more than a couple of days... and I have all the symptoms including movements...and I’m really confused can someone help me?? Was that test accurate??

Blood tests are normally accurate, unless you have a tubal pregnancy or something.. Why don't you just go to your doc. and have them do an ultra sound...if you haven't had your AF in that long and the test came up negative, maybe something else is wrong with you.

Im sooo glad i' ve found this website, because these doctors are makin me fell crazy and i know im not... well maybe i can get sum answers from this board. This is a long story so i hope i don't lose yall In march i started feelin symptoms migraines back pains nasuea and very sore boobs and this was a feelin i never felt before...so i went to the doctor for a pelvic exam a pap, and i told the doctor and she gave me a urine test and it came back neg. and then i was like okay then why am i feeling like this she said it was harmones or something like that.. so then later on in april i started feelin movement fluttering and jumpin so i described i never been preg. before so i didn't know what to think so i thought i was tripn since my doctor said i wasn't and then in june i went back cause i was still feeling all the pregnant symptoms and i was wondering what was going on and i asked for another urine test and it came back neg. and by then i was becoming frustrated.. so i just left. then i came back and july and asked for a blood test and to my surprise it was negative and then i was almost to tears and i asked my doctor was this normal and he said yea and that i was tripn so to say and that i was imagining it all and then i gain 6 pounds in 10 days not normal! these damn doctors go to school and they are still dumb.My stomach has stretch marks and its out there. I just don't know what to do anymore but cry. BUT through all of this i've had irregular period they are short and a weird color like pink and almost brown and are shorter than usual. I don't want to go back for another blood test nor urine because the doctor are going to think i'm crazy they already do...I want to see about my helath if i'm not and figure out what am i feeling move and why am i so sick... and if i am i want some prenatal care and check if my baby is healthy...should i go to the ER and ask for an ultrasound... do u think they will let me... i should be 5 months now. and feel movement all the time! someone pls help me...my e-mail is purplema_1@hotmail.com

LaLa, chances are you're not pregnant......if you have taken numerous blood and urine tests and they all came up negative, then you are probably not.....As for feeling the movement and "growing", your mind and body can play pretty good tricks on you if you seriously think you are pregnant and are not.........there are woman out there who really are having pregnancy symptoms who are not pregnant because they really believe that they are....Just to be sure, I would have an ultrasound done....you never know....if you have been having light periods maybe there is somethine else wrong like a tumor or cyst or something.....I wouldn't go to the ER for it though, you'll pay out of your ass for it! Just schedule the appt. w/ your OB doctor.....there is no reason why they shouldn't do it for you...If they for some reason won't do it, then I would go to the ER..Good luck and I hope everything is o.k.

lala: i just want u to know that i have been experienceing the exact same symptoms since march..just so u know i am not preg as per all the tests..i have always had a very normal 5 days cycles and have been regular too..in sickness
o r health,stress o rno stress, happiness or sorrow... i have had my regular flows and cycles.....my dh and i decided to start ttc in early march.i know i ovulated and that very cycle in mid march, my flow came as normal and stopped and then came scanty and weird and all ranges from red to light to brown...this is not"normal" for me ..so since i had tried that month, i thought implantation!! but tested neg,so i figured it was a freak cycle though i have NEVER had scanty or browm mucus ever before...but april, same story... again tested neg.So in May at my yearly , my obgyn got me tested......again neg on urine and internal. by now i had developed some weird odd pains in my abs they were sudden sharp...some light nausea...and stuff.. never threw up or anything...also felt very heavy bloated etc....so i told my obgyn and she said that i had actually lost some weight since last year and so i must just be bloated.......but my obgyn wrote down a list of tests on my request, to rule out hormone imbalance, any kind of infection and pregnancy blood quatitative and all tests came neg...i was very very glad ..and relaxed...but in early june i started to feel grumbling in my stomach but with no noise.. i figured gas and ignored...but on june 13th, while doing dishes in the morning i had this weird sensation in my lower ab to belly button as if a fish suddenly swam up in my lower ab.......that is how i described it in my diary.. ....it was like a set of 2 shock waves going up from lower ab to belly button twice..this was weird.. so i touched my ab again and the same thing happened...i immediately wrote this symptom down ...i even know when it happened coz it was so new and unforgettable and sudden.......but not painful or uncomfortable...anyways i went about my activities and one day suddenly i found myself weighing 5 pounds more as if overnight...trust me... i was eating healthy and exrcsiing regularly...i was devasted coz just few days ago my obgyn had mentioned that i had lost weight (and u know docs weighing machine always adds five pounds from my house one and so if my house one was showing gain it meant i had)i had come home from the docs in may and and checked a couple times afterwards and it had remaine dnormal so i knew this was sudden gain........infact i had not put on any weight for more than a year and for me to suddenly weigh an extra 5 pounds was crazy and frustarting!!...so i started to do some research online and read what i found was many ladies describing first fetal movement... many said it felt like fish swimming....i was surprised and though"can i be preg by any chance?" but all tests were neg how can that be...so i called my obgyn's office and explained..ofcourse the nurse answered (docs rarely talk directly anymore.)..what a pain...she asked the doc and they wanted me to do a pelvic/transvaginal u/s and also another blood hcg test.... by now i had developed 'bubble popping' kind of sensations in my ab area ..and pelvic cramping on and off...all weird new things..trust me i am not desperate and it is not in my head....but i wanted to wait and see if my periods would regulate themselevs and if all will be normal... so waited ..but july again, my periods went reallllllllly late and just when i was wondering if i missed, it came but on CD 40 and i have never in my life been that late...it started with clear mucus and then all shades of pink and beige and red to fresh red...this cycle i also had more cramping and clots..i have had clots earlier also....so i figured i tmust be something ...tumor or cycts or fibroid or something!!!! i went for an u/s early in august ...and that was negative!!!!!!!now i was sure it can't be pregnancy and it isn't anything else either...!!!! so why ??????this month now in august, my cycles are back to being a29 day cycle they r still not my normal ones......weird thing is that the bubble popping sensations haven't gone..and i don't know what that can be.. i never had it ever, i never had odd cycles before starting our ttc journey, i never had weird pains and senstaions either.......so what is going on....can it all be pure coincidence???..these poppings decrese or disappear during my abnormal cycles and come right back....i wish the symptoms just disappeared so i don't have to worry but they don't.....i am just as confused and frustrated....just when i move on something happens...so basically this is the story.. not very different..but what is this mystery condition????? i am telling u it is not in my head for sure.. i am very level headed ,educated and balanced as an individual..but this is my honest to goodness story....i am no tmaking it up....sorry for the typos...so la la if u get any answers or diagnosis will u please update ..thanks...

smskam hey i was feelin everything u was feelin and to my shock i wasn't pregnant either!! everything was negative well da baby's heartbeat wasn't there and like u said i couldn't be but i still feel as u described it fish swimmin and fluttering i dnt know wats goin on and my period still is irregular doctors are really pissin me off but ima pray about my situation because mankind cant understand so i figure God made us and he knows so gurl just pray about foreal!! i know it trippy and i know im not crazy either! i'll be praying for you and all the rest of yall who is gin thru this female situation!! be blessed!

Can someone help me please? I have read everyone's story. So here is my situation. Had period on aug 1st, and my cycle is 35days on norm. Right now I am 5 days late. My husband and I have been trying for a couple of months and I have been taking chlomid-not really all that familar with it. Before bringing my period on a regular basis back in april I didnt menstrate. So either i just didnt menstrate or I am pregnant. i took alot of home preggo tests and all are negative. Went in for a blood test on 3 late and that came back negative. I have all the symptoms like your stomach feels all cloudy and queasy, puke a couple of times, very tired too. Did I just test too early because I had spoke to my mother and she said she had to take 3 blood tests before she found out she was preggo with my brother. Is my hcg not increasing enough at this time and is this heredity. I feel the same way I do now as if I was preggo with my daughter and with her it took 6 weeks before I found out I was preggo with her. Should I take a test next week or wait two? Reading these forums made me feel like im not crazy but yet scared because I dont want to miscarriage. This is all I think about now because of this negative blood test when my gut instinct tells me I am. What should I do? This feeling has been going on for 3weeks so I dont think it is the flu and when I am worked focusing on something else I still have the symptoms so my body couldnt be playing tricks on me.
