Showing Too Early?

It is unlikely that you are "showing" already. Alot of times, for first pregnancies, women tend to stand differently and have a different posture because they know they are preggers and want to be showing. It is possible that you could have more than one, and that is why you are showing, or maybe you are further along than you think. Alot of it could be bloating too. Good luck to you!! We are ttc this month, just Ovulated yesterday so good luck to me too!! |

Actually when you start out with a smaller frame, you do "show" early. And the reason is, because there is not any where for your tummy to go...so it appears to be bigger than someone with and average frame. With my first pregnancy I was 100 lbs and I did "show" early. And no it was not bloating. I even asked my dr about it, and he explained exactly that....I was skinny. :) |

Maybe for some people, but I would still have to disagree with you. I am a very small person, I weighed 108lbs when I got pregnant with my son, and I didn't start "showing" until I was almost 5 months pregnant. I guess every one is different. So just because you have a smaller frame, "doesn't" mean you will show early. |

Okay..maybe I should have clarified myself....TYPICALLY when you have a smaller frame you DO show early. But it is just the appearance...everything else is still the same size. I mean of course everyone's body is different...every pregnancy is different. And weight isn't the only factor. I pretty much had NO hips before I got pregnant. I was a size 0, so they only place my tummy had to go...was out. |

Alot of it has to do with how your insides are structured too, I know that sounds weird, but some women uterus or certix are tilted, and that has a lot to do with it too. Hey, if you are showing, good for you. I wanted to show so that people actually knew I was pregnant!! |

I agree that usually smaller framed women do show earlier but at 13 weeks its almost impossible to show that much. You womb will stay hidden behind your pubic bone until the 12th week of pregnancy making it impossible to 'show'. What I have found to be the case with my pregnancies is that the first 6-18 weeks my tummy looks 'huge' I guess some people would say i was showing but I was just v.bloated. I am now 22 weeks pregnant and it is v.obvious that I am pregnant now, but my clothes are NOT as tight as they were in the first few weeks |

You're all going to think I'm crazy....I'm pregnant with my second. I'm 5 ft 11 inches and I weigh 162 lbs. I'm currently 5 weeks. I'm huge just in the stomach....I went out and bought maternity clothes today because I can't even button pants I was wearing 2-3 weeks ago. |

i am only 8 weeks pregnant and my stomach is getting big, but i dont know if its because im eating like a pig or if im bloated or what. it seems crazy to me to be showing this soon so i dont know whats going on. i am only 4'10" and weigh less than 100 lbs. so maybe its cuz im small and eating so much. any ideas of why im getting big so fast? |

I'm definitely showing a bit and I'm only 6 weeks along. My doctor said it was because my uterus was tilted forward. I have a lot of bloating, too, but I am showing a bit. |

I'm glad that I'm not the only one. I'm only about 5 weeks along and my stomach is just sticking out. I can't physically suck it in and I can't wear any of my pants that button. I'm wearing stretchy skirts and stretch flowy pants. I have always gained my weight in my stomach. But I just find it so odd that I already look like i'm 5 months along. Might have something to do with being constipated? do you think it could be from a tilted uterus? I don't have my first OB appt for another 3 weeks... |

Unless you girls are on your second pregnancy, you probably aren't "showing yet" Right now your baby is probably about the size on an pencil eraser. Chances are, you are bloated. If your ut. is tilted, you will prob show a little bit sooner, but at 5 weeks, I am sure you are not looking like you are 5 months pregnant. You may feel like it, but for the first few months, chances are, you will have a little "bump" which is bloating, and you will just feel like you are getting fat. Good luck to you all. |

My sister had a baby bump at 12 weeks - her boss guessed she was pregnant before she told him! |

Hey guys! |

hey preciousjewel - do not stress about the weight gain, it will only make you concentrate on food and eat more. I did gain 21 kg due to strict bedrest in the third trimester. Now my daughter is 9 weeks old and I have only another 8 kg to loose, so the weight does come off. I breastfeed and walk a lot with the pram and my dog. Started walking the first day I brought bubby home. Weight gain is totally normal and I loved my belly every step of the way. |
