Another Nipple Shield Question

Hi, I also have had to use a nipple shield for the first 5 weeks because my nipples were too big for my little guy. I have now weened him off of it and he is latching very well. My question is that since he's been on the br___t alone he has had much more trouble with throwing up after each br___t. and he sometimes eats for shorter times. when using the nipple shield he hardly ever even burped and now he's throwing up a lot of water and spitting up milk. Does anyone know why this happens? Does he get more milk faster with the bare br___t as opposed to using the nipple shield? Any input would be appreciated.

Well so far I have only successfully b___st fed without the nipple shield once, so I can only be of minimal help. But, when she was b___st feeding on the bare b___st she only fed for 10 minutes (usually it's between 20-30) then she rolled over stuffed to the gills, and my b___st was completely empty. So yes I think they get milk faster without the shield.
