Hello- Does anybody know on average how long it takes for milk to start to fill up a br___t from the time it is emptied? Just wondering since sometime I pump, empty my br___t and then DS wants to nurse and I feel like I dont have any milk yet to give him? Thanks Jen

That is why I usually only pumped one b___st at a time when dd was little...that way I always had some milk. Once we got into more of a known feeding schedule, I was able to pump both b___sts. I can get quite milk after 15 minutes of pumping...but its not much. I would guess an hour would get you more, but I suspect each person is completely different. I think it takes me 2.5 to 3 hours to be completely full. Best guess. Sorry I cant be of better help on this one. Hopefully someone else will give you their experience so you have another reference.

Lactation consultant once told me that once a b___st was "soft" there was still about 1 oz of milk in there.

For me it seems to be about 1.5 hours until there's enough in there (but about 3-4 until they're very full)...I've made the mistake of pumping too close to when my dd wanted to eat and ended up having to give her a bit of formula because she wouldn't wait for me to warm up what I had pumped...growth spurt!! I agree though, I think each woman is different.
