i am trying to br___tfeed my first baby. he was born thursday, and weighed a whopping 10 lbs 9 oz. he's quite an eater....wanting about 2 oz every hour and a half. i finally was able to start pumping yesterday morning. we had to end up supplementing him with some formula at the hospital, and we think he got spoiled to the bottle and no longer wants to latch on. so we decided to just pump and feed that way. however, all i am getting is about 2 oz out of my br___ts every 2 to 3 hours. is this normal? will it start to increase in volume after a while? or is this all i am gonna get? i cant' keep up with him!!

well i have the same problem, my son was born march 14th, he was in the nicu for two weeks so i had to pump and i was getting 3 to 4 oz every 3 hours. but now i am only getting 2 to 3 oz every 2 to 3 hours and my son eat 4 to 5 ozs every 2 to 4 hours. we had to supplement , we add formula to my milk, i have tried fenagreek, and pumping every 2 hours nothing has worked and my boy does want to latch on. so i think you will be able to increase valume soon, i had mast_tis and a c___ppy pump when i wasnt using the hospital pump, a medela symphony, it was great and i wish i rented it and maybe i could get enough milk.
