Hi my ds is 10 weeks old and I'd like to start alternating feedings between br___t and bottle however I have no idea how much of my pumped milk I should expect him to eat from the bottle. 4oz, 6oz, 8oz??

For that age, I think it's approx. 3-4 oz per feeding. You should visit kellymom.com, you can find information on how much your baby needs.

My dd is 9 weeks old and she takes 4 oz. of expressed b___st milk in a bottle. Good luck!

my ds is 7 weeks old he takes anywhere from 3-6 ounces. the ped told us to let him drink until there was something left in the bottle and he wanted no more.

It depends on the baby's weight and how often he nurses. My lactation consultants use a formula: baby's weight x 3 / #feedings per day. So if you have a 12 lb. baby who nurses 8 times a day, he should get about 4.5 oz. per bottle feeding. Hope this gives you a place to start.

Hello, ladies. I was just about to ask this same question. My son will be 3 weeks on thursday ans since about this past thursday he takes about 3oz of milk every 2hrs during the night, and b___stfeeds every hour for about 10 minutes on each b___st during the day... I am a first time mom, and it seems like it is a lot? Is this what babies this age eat, or could he be going through a growth spurt?
