Lopsided Milk Production

My right br___t always out produces my left one. I work full time so I pump and can see what each one produces. So far "righty" just about doubles the quant_ty of "lefty". Is it normal to have that much difference? Is there anything I can do to up the production in one br___t only?

I'm a lefty too! My left side produces double what my right does. I pump at work too so I can always see the end result. How long have you been pumping at work. After a couple weeks of starting back to work I noticed a change. Some days I get way more on my right side now. I pump in the morning after feeding Emma and the side she ate on hardly has any milk left so usually when I pump at lunch, that side has a lot more. It's weird how that all works cus some days I can fill each bottle no problem, like this morning, and then sometimes there's only 3 oz on each side. I can tell if I eat a big healthy breakfast my milk is up at lunchtime. I don't think you can do much. I've heard this is normal. But mine do fluctuate now that I'm back at work.

Funny! I was just thinking about this the other day! Im a "righty". The magic number for my left b___st is 2-2.5 oz. everytime.. My right b___st easily gets 5-5.5oz.. I would like to know also if something can be done to increase the production of my left b___st. I've been pumping for 3 months now (baby is 6 mos).

I'm just finishing my second week of work. I get to work at 6:30 so I can get off at 3:00 more time for the kids that way. So I end up pumping 3 times, 5am-9am-1pm. I have a very good Medela PIS Advanced and so far been very productive-I average about 26 oz in those 3 pumps. It's just odd when both b___sts feel the same and are the same size. This morning righty gave me 8 oz and lefty 4 oz. Hmmmm....

Yep, at lunch I got 5 oz on each side this time. Emma nurses around 5 a.m. and I pump at 6 a.m. and then at around noon and then nurse when I get home around 3:30. I average 16-20 oz between these two session. I have the PIS also and love it! I've tried pumping after work but I don't get very much and she nurses at home still.

I am a righty...I am a SAHM so I'm not pumping with this one but my dd will hardly nurse from my left b___st. My production is not lopsided but my b___bs are! It looks pretty funny when I wear even a slightly fitting sweater. Heck..I really don't care...all my vanity went out the window after I had my first child. Now to yout question...when I pumped with my first dd, my right always produced more milk.....my dd nursed from that side more often. I would say it is normal.
