I just started mini-pill. I have heard it can decrease milk supply. Anyone experience this? Ob says the pill is ok but I spoke w/lactation specialist and she strongly advised against iy. Thoughts?

My doc would not allow me to go on the mini until 6 weeks after dd was born. He said that I could reduce milk supply and that he wanted to make sure that my supply was well established before putting me on it. At that time, I did not pump much, so I honestly can not say if it decreased my supply or not.

I started on the mini-pill (micronor) at 6 weeks and haven't notice a milk supply issue. My midwife reccommended it.

my OB recommended my minipill (cerazette) 2 months after dd was born which was after i tried the IUD but didnt work cz i stil had contractions from b___stfeeding and i wasn't that far after delivery so it got misplaced.. anyway, it didnt affect my milk supply and my dd is 8 months old now
