Nausea While Nursing

I often feel nauseated while nursing my son. Not that I am repulsed by it or anything, I just start feeling a little queezy in my stomach sometimes. I go to the Dr. for my 2 week post-natal check up on Monday, I'll ask them but I was just wondering if anyone else was feeling this way. Thanks.

Breastfeeding burns alot of calories. (like 500 ) If your not eating enough you may feel a little week and nauseated. try eating a small snack while or just before b___stfeeding. I remember feeling a little week at times and started eating a little snack. Hope this helps.

It's more than likely your hormones making you feel like that. When you nurse your brain releases oxytocin or something like that. I sometimes too feel kind of weird when I nurse. Sometime I get hot flashes. Try eating something before you nurse.

I'm sort of the opposite. If I eat shortly before I nurse, I feel a bit of nausea at the beginning of nursing. Instead, I drink plenty of fluids (especially water), and find that I'm usually quite thirsty after nursing. I agree, though, that the nausea is caused by hormones.
