What brand works best? I've heard Medela, Lansinoh?

I had the lansinoh cream and I didnt think it helped all that much- The best thing for me was rubbing b___stmilk into my nipples after a feeding and allowing it to air dry.

I used the Lansinoh at first and then just the cheap Target brand. Both worked fine. BUT....I started using them RIGHT AWAY. And I used them after every feeding....even when I wasn't having any problems. I found this worked well. If I stopped using it for a few feedings then I started to get sore. But if I just used it all the time I never seemed to have problems. PLUS...I had friends you said their babies didn't like the taste. I don't think Makenzie noticed b/c I used it right from the beginning so she was used to it. (It also came in handy at one point when she got a chapped mouth....I used it around her mouth since it isn't bad if they eat a little of it.....)

My daughter is now 7 months so my nipples are very conditioned! However, in the beginning I also used the lansinoh after most feedings...my daughter never seemed to notice anything with regards to taste.
