Ok To Let One Side Dry Up Before The Other

We are in the weaning process. My dd nurses only first thing in the a.m. I pump 2-3x per day otherwise (which I am weaning that down too)...but, my right side is making MAYBE 5-6oz per day now. So, I know it's inevitable that it will dry up first, probaby very soon.. That doesnt matter, right, other than the fact that I'm going to be even more lopsided for the next few weeks.

I think it is normal to have one side produce more than the other...and what is it with the right side?? My right side has always been the underachiever!

I had the same situation...my left side dried up completely and now that I have stopped nursing I am so engorged on my right side. It just does not want to dry up. Well, in my case my right side is the overacheiver. I do wonder if it has to do with our child be a lefty or righty. I have noticed that my son uses more his left side but drank always more from my right side. Just a thought.
