Pregnant Breastfeeding And Confused

Hey gals, anyone successful at br___tfeeding throughout pregnancy? I know you don't HAVE to wean. But your milk supply dramatically decreases if not gone all together by mid-pregnancy. I am concerned about my toddler's nutrition, since she is not a big eater of solids and is slowly dropping on the charts.... looking for a little encouragement here.

Hm,,,,its really not healthy for a "toddler" to depend on getting most of its nutrition from b___st milk. Not only does you milk supply decrease but it also changes in taste (gets saltier tasting) She will prolly wean herself after this starts occuring. Good luck

I lost my supply by 2 months into my second pregnancy. If you really want to keep your supply i recommend talking to a lactation nurse to see what they suggest. don't worry, you toddler won't starve. the doctor may have other tips, or ways to increase fat intake with the drop in milk intake. good luck, and congratulations!!

my dd weened herself and started biting and getting fussy when I would put her to the b___st, that is when I did a test and found out that I was 2 months preg. and I switched her off and I had no swelling or leaking.... so it didnt work for me..

just a question regading b___stfeeding and pregnancy, did you have sore or tender b___sts early in the pregnancy?

I began trying to wean soon after finding out I was pregnant because I was cramping, so I don't know what would have happened had I continued. But, I'd say, if your milk dries up or dd rejects it, it's probably your body's way of telling you that there aren't enough nutrients to go around. I go with what your body does!
