If it is a contagious rash caused from something other than an allergic reaction, your baby will be exposed anyway & is likely to get it whether you are b___stfeeding or not, at least if s/he is b___stfed s/he will be more likely to get over it quicker as s/he is getting your immunities through the b___stmilk . I would definitely ring your doctor just in case (for your sake) but b___stmilk is a wonderful thing & I honestly don't think b___stfeeding will hurt your baby anymore so then if you were just holding her/him. (sorry for all the s/he's, you didn't mention what you had).

Hey precious, I got the same thing when dd was born 6 weeks ago and still have it.... I use cotozone,sp*, but the rash on my inside theigh/ knee area has gone away but still have it on my hips and elbows... I dont know what caused it but I know I itch constantly! My dd has not got it nor my hubby so I think it is just hormone related.... fun fun. l your doc know, I am calling mine today.
