I gave birth a week ago, and my br___t overloaded on the milk like they were supposed to...i started pumping, he doesnt seem to like the br___t..and its just easier and less painful for me to pump. Well my br___t were huge, and i started letting it slide, putting off pumping no more then every four hours, which then i would be able to produce about 5 ounces maybe more from each side. Well, last night, i noticed they werent as big, and less full, i was only able to pump a couple of ounces from each side. Can i build the milk supply back up or is it too late?

Yes! you can build your milk supply back up. Start pumping more frequently or for longer periods of time. It will take a few days but you will get more milk. Your milk supply depends on how much is needed. So if you pump for longer periods of time or more frequently your body thinks the baby is wanting more to eat so you will produce more milk.

Thank you much...I was reading about the supply demand deal, but i also read about engorgement- i got scared I was drying out. So thanks, Im going to start pumping more often- i guess ive just been lazy about it..heh.

I had that problem also. I would try to pump more and more and I would have that baby on the b___b all day long to help stimulate. Then I went to the doctor and she told me to try this herbel supplement called Fenugreek. It is amazing! My b___bs become full at every feeding, which is every 2 hours, even after 5 months :)
