Supplementing

So jm strictly br___tfeeding(well besides i just started some fruit and rice cereal) and i was wondering if any of you know if you can add some formula to the br___tmilk. Not all the time, but once in awhile is it ok to do half in half. I work full time and sometimes its so hard to keep up with pumping enough milk. He wont take formula alone so I thought about doing it half in half

You might want to do it in smaller ratios until he gets used to it. like, an ounce of formula to 3 ounces of b___stmilk, and gradually inrease formula while decreasing the b___stmilk.

I did it and had no problems. A couple of times my son had to have all formula because I forgot to put his b___st milk in the fridge and it spoiled. He was fine. His poop was different but nothing else.

Your lucky your son took all formula, mine wont touch it. It just gets a lil frustrating when some days it sems i cant get enough milk

My sister's children will not touch formula either. She watched my son for the first six months and she was so excited that she'd be able to supplement with her son. Anyway, she introduced the bottle & formula the same way I did and he took it fine at first. After a few weeks he refused it. I can't explain it but there are just some little ones that hate formula or an artificial nipple.
