Hi ladies. Anyone have experience pumping while br___tfeeding. I have a one week old and am not returning to work for awhile, but want to pump to build up a supply in the freezer for my husband to feed and to give my son br___tmilk long after I stop br___tfeeding. Any advice on when I should start? How do I start and still make sure he gets enough?

my son is 2 weeks old and i pump. I usually get one 3-4 oz bottle out a day, which i give to the father so he can have bonding time. other than that i just b___stfeed. I've tried to get more out, but thats usually all i can get, so i dont have any extra to freeze, but i think later i'll end up getting more milk in (i hope) for storing

I pumped only once in a while the first 6 wks. I just didn't have time or the energy and you don't get much. After she was 6 wks old I really started pumping so I had a supply when I went back to work but once I started going back, I realized I really didn't need the extra supply because I was pumping enough during the day for her at daycare. I have about 30 bags of 8 oz milk in my deep freeze for backup if my milk starts getting low though. You can never have enough!
