ok, so i went to target to get a maternity pillow but they were sold out. i opted for a regular body pillow and used it for 2 nights. it was initially very comfortable, but both night s iended up waking with super sore hips. id still like to find a maternity pillow, but do not want to spend the $ if i am going to get the same painful result. any of you try a regular body pillow first and then have better results with the maternity kind? thanks

im 18 weeks pregnant and have to sleep with some thing under my belly and a normal pillow has seemed to do the trick but the thing is i still cant get comfy on either side but the pillow works

i find nothing helps with hip pain lol. i've tried folded up blankets, pillows, and even sleeping on my side with my leg resting up against the side of the couch and honestly, the couch thing worked the best and i still woke up feeling crippled.

meant to add that one thing i did find that helped a bit was if i could get the pillow thick enough (or folded blanket) and try to get it up as close to my...well...crotch as possible, because the problem isn't in our knees and that's where we seem to keep the pillow. so if you can get your whole top leg elevated, that does help a bit.

I find that a regular body pillow works well enough. I still wake up with some hip pain, but not as much as when I sleep without.
