Hi Ladies, I am 8 weeks and I was just wondering if I can take tylenol. I am having a hard time with headaches and I try not to take anything if I can but just wondering for when they get really bad. Any info will be much appreciated. Thanks !!

Yes tylenol is fine to take while you are pregnant. I did not want to take anything either but my headaches were getting so bad that I could not function during the day. My Dr. also told me Excedrine Tension Headache is aspirin free and also safe to take. That has been a life saver for me and is totally safe for the baby. Hope this helps a little for your poor head!

It should be added that as far as pain relief goes, only Tylenol is considered completely harmless - ibuprofen is a bit worse and aspirin is probably the worst. First check with your doctor though and make sure it's ok for you to take Tylenol, as you may have other health conditions that could be affecting.

Tylenol is safe during pregnancy, but dont take the extra strength, and use the smallest dose possible, start with one pill and work your way to two if needed. also during my first trimester and into my second i had trouble with lots of headaches, he suggested an 8 oz caffinated beverage since caffine aleviates pain.
