From my lmp i am now 10w today but from my u/s a few weeks ago i am now showing at 8.5 weeks. When i went in there at my 6w1d check up the baby's hb was at 124. the u/s tech and dr said thats great for only how far along i was. They said they would like to see it around 140-160 by my next appt in 4 weeks. I was wondering the hb ranges for about the first time you have your u/s.

My first ultrasound showed a hb at 122bpm. At 8 weeks it was 173. I think normal range is from 120-180.

By the way, I was measuring behind too. Sometimes we don't ovulate at the normal times, or it takes a little longer for bb to implant. Being 1.5 weeks behind lmp is pretty normal. My lmp was 8/14, which would put me due on 5/22/06. I am actually due 6/1/06 according to the size. Good luck with your pregnancy!

My u/s it showed hb for 123 bpm for my 6th wk and then just yesterday i had an u/s and we heard our baby's heartbeat at 167 bpm and our baby loves to move alot.....very busy in there. My OB said thats normal and I shouldnt worry about a thing... coz Ive been reading some stuff n it says bet 120-160 is normal. My Dr. and the lady that did the u/s said its a lil bit high coz baby is doing lots of movements in there. So I shouldnt worry. :P

thanks so much guys. i was getting nervous but i'm thinking that it was b/c it was soooo early. I'm so excited for my next u/s. My lmp was 8/19/05 which would put me at 5/26/05 but they are saying more like 6/5/05. I was a week and 3 days off. Thanks again.

Hi Amanda C! Are you still on here? I hope so. I am measuring 10 days behind as well. I know my dates are correct (they insist I'm 7 weeks, it's impossible because I didn't have s_x at the time I would have had to to be 7 weeks - I know I'm at least 8 weeks, most likely 8 weeks 3 days). I was so glad to hear that you are measuring "behind" as well by size. They just moved my due date back a week but something tells me in a few weeks they'll change it back. :-) How are you doing?

oops! forgot to get the notice of new posting...

Normal hb ranges from 120-180 bpm?? I had my 1st u/s done at 6wks3days and my baby's hb was 123bpm then 2nd u/s done at 11wks3days it was 168 bpm. My next u/s wont be til my 20th wk plus we get to find out our baby's gender.

Hi Tess, glad to hear that hearbeat is going up! Sounds like you are right on target. By the way, my tech said they like to see a heartbeat of at least 100 (although it seems popular that the bottom of the range people are given is 120). I bet you're excited for your next us! Good luck!

I went and had my first u/s yesterday and my doc was able to see the yolk sack, baby, and fetal pole but no heartbeat. He told me not to worry as some women can't pick up the heartbeat until 7-9 weeks. This happen to anyone else?

Steph - November 22

Oh, and I am 6wks 4 days.

MARIE - November 22

I had my first u/s last night (to confirm pregnancy) and we were at 6wks 5days. Baby's heart rate was 148. I haven't been able to find any additional information online but this seems correct from what this loop is showing. If anyone knows differently, please let me know...Not sure when the next u/s will be.

Kim: I am still here. I am doing okay. I had an ultrasound just yesterday, and I am now measuring closer to when I thought. The original due date (6/1) was behind by about 1.5 weeks. Now my due date is 5/26 which is closer to when (I thought) I ovulated. I just think these babies have their growth spurts semi-randomly and at their own pace. Don't forget, though, that sperm can "live" in you for up to 3 days, so that might make you off as well, but most likely (I think, but I am not a doctor) that our babies will be right on track eventually. And who knows, sometimes doctors rely on the tests too much, and they can be wrong in the end. Good luck to everyone!

Oh, and if anyone would like to see my ultrasounds to compare, let me know. I have 3- One from 6.5 weeks, 1 from 8 weeks and yesterdays, 13-14 weeks.

Kim - November 22

Amanda I'd love to! My email address is [email protected] I'm glad you're catching back up that's great. Sperm can actually live up to a max of 5 days in the right conditions, but you're right that 3 is probably the most normal length of time. I am pretty solid about my dates - I've been charting my cycles for over 3 years and have gotten pretty good at figuring ovulation. I'm just going to leave it at, as long as the heartbeat is good and baby looks okay, I'm not going to worry! Thanks so much for your rea__surance.
