Hi. Thankyou for giving me the opportunity to get his off my chest. I'm currently pregnant for the second time this year. I had a natural miscarriage at around 5 1/2 weeks after which i got pregnant again before my next cycle. So, i went from miscarriage to pregnancy. I am now alittle over 7 weeks pregnant and i just had my second ultrasound today. Initially the OB couldn't detect a heart beat...but after zooming right in he found it. It was slow. We could see it beating on the screen. He then tried a trans vag ultrasound to see if we could get a better indication of the hb, but it provided the same results. He then noticed that i have a large bleed next to the sac which could be causing problems and put me on bed rest. I have another US next week to see if the hb is getting stronger. During my first miscarriage i was spotting brown pretty constantly. This time however i haven't had any spotting, although this may be due to the fact that i've been on 200 mg of progesterone since i first discovered i was pregnant at 4-5 weeks. I'm 24 years old and i live with my husband internationally- meaning away from all my family and friends, my base- i didn't tell anyone about the first miscarriage and no one from my network of friends or family know about this pregnancy. I feel alone and scared...i want it to pull through so badly. Hope? xx

i guess i'd just like to know if you think there is hope that my babys HR will go up in a weeks time? also, how do i deal with the overwhelming anxiety and sadness that the prospect of miscarrying again causes?

HI Pheonix. I don't have any advice or information for you. I just wanted to drop a note and give you some encouragement. It must be very hard for you to be all alone in a different country... and then not have anyone know what you are going through. You probably don't like the idea of calling home and telling someone about what is happening, but maybe it would help? Whatever the outcome, you will have someone there to support you. Pregnancy is such a personal issue though, and I know you'll do what is best for you. I'll keep you in my thoughts.
