I'm 11wks 4 dys, had s_x on saturday and cramped w/pink discharge afterward. Cramping stopped after about an hour and so did discharge. Sunday and today have a brownish discharge with an occassional twinge here and there. I remember pink discharge from my first pregnancy after s_x (6 years ago) but I don't remember the cramps or twinges. Should I be worried? I have a doc appt on friday.

Was this the first time you've had s_x since becoming pregnant?

No we had s_x 2 weeks ago too and nothing happened.

man, i just had the same thing happen to me and came on here to find out if anyone had the same experience...this is the first time ive been spotting for a few weeks now. what i wanted to know is if this means we should discontinue having s_x or if its just normal and ok...but it hasn't spotted pink like that after s_x for weeks until a few days ago...and ive been having mild cramps with what feels like pain on my cervix, like after an exam. i was just going to wait to ask my doctor next monday when i go in but maybe someone here has had a similar experience

I have read in multiple sources that bleeding after s_x is common b/c of the tenderness of the cervix. I don't think that it dangerous, per say, but you should definitely discuss this with your doctor and get her/his recommendation. Unless there is a lot of bleeding and cramping, I don't think it's an emergency situation, and you can wait until you see your doctor next. If you are really concerned, but a call in to the nurse. Good luck!

Like I said I remember the spotting from the first pregnancy w/dd, but not the twinges, but then again I'm at a stage of my pregnancy now that the baby is growing more rapidly so it could be just stretching I'm noticing. I'll just make sure and call the doc anyway.

well, like i said i have been having some spotting from s_x too and no answer to that other than ive read and been told thats normal from cervix being irritated. as far as the cramping goes, maybe this helps?: Mild cramping – both during and after orgasm – is very common and harmless during most low-risk pregnancies. This may be due to a combination of the increased blood flow to the pelvic area during pregnancy, the normal congestion of the s_xual organs that occurs during arousal and orgasm, and the normal contractions of the uterus following orgasm. Remember, s_x and orgasm during a normal, low-risk pregnancy is perfectly safe and not a cause of miscarriage
