I have been having abdominal cramps as if it's time for my period. I am only 5 weeks pregnant and don't know if this is normal. HELP PLEASE !

I would tell you that is normal, but if it everyday and just to much for you. call your doctor and ask him/her.

Courtney - April 19

This is nothing to worry about. You are only experiencing the baby growing. Unless there is bleeding with the cramps, don't worry!

Were you on Clomid? I was and had some cramping early on. The doctor told me I had developed ovarian cysts from the Clomid, which were bursting and causing the pain. It sounds scary, but she said it's nothing to worry about. I'm now 7 weeks and they have gone away. I never had any bleeding and I want to second Courtney's advice that you should really only worry if there's bleeding.

Hello there, try not to worry, could be your muscles relaxing.

I am around 2 months pregnant and had bad cramps the first month or so. I never had any spotting or bleeding, and 2 doctors told me that it was just "growing pains," my muscles and ligaments stretching to make room for the baby. They finally stopped about a week ago! This is my first pregnancy, so I was really freaking out for a while, but I was told that it is really common.

Dale, I am 5 weeks pregnant also and I have been getting cramps all the time for the past two weeks. It feels like menstrual cramps and seems to be aggravated by wearing tight clothing like jeans. Since so many of us seem to be experiencing these cramps I guess they're nothing to worry about!

Have any of you tried a Nettle infusion or tea? You might want to get the book Wies Woman Herbal Childbearing Year. Susan Weed, widely known in women's circlis for many years, has herbal remedies for many pregnancy issues. All the ones I have tried have worked well. I know other people who have had the same experience with Susan Weed's wonderful book. It's a must have refeerence book for every pregnant woman who wants to be a part of her own health care.

I am cramping and spotting, and I went to the ER yesterday to get a sonogram and it showed that I am 7weeks pregnant, but there is no fetus in my uterus sac.

I too just found out that I am pregnant, and have been experiencing what feels like menstrual cramps. My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage, so I am a little worried. However, I know a lady that had cramps up until about her fourth month, and she just gave birth to a healthy girl this last April.

Thanks ladies! I am 6 weeks pregnant and have just made an appointment with my gyne for cramps. I am however going to still go just to reasure myself as this is my first pregnancy and i misscarried last year.
