I am wondering if any of your Dh's have read any good books on understanding pregnancy. I think my dh needs to get educated. I had the worst headache of my life last night on a scale of 1 to 10 I would have given it a 20 I actually considered going to the hospital. And all DH could say was your starting to give me a headache. Meanwhile our house is a total mess. I think he needs to understand what a pregnant women goes through. Any suggestions??

i have had those headaches... omg they are bad!!! ive never had headaches before being pregnant. i would just go to a bookstore or look on ebay or something. i got my dh a survival book for after the baby is born... how to change a diaper ect, but i konw that there has got to be some good books for them on that kinda stuff. i just read stuff from online or from the many books that i am reading to him so that he can see that its not just my imagination.

the pregnancy for dummies book is a great read! it even has little dad info.. my dh read most of it before we got preg. and he was in awe that I still wanted to go through with it! and here we are 5 weeks along..and he's already giving a helping hand with bathroom cleaning(because of the strong chemicals) and lifting all the laundry! its worth a try.

I LOVE the book What to Expect When You're Expecting-my dh reads right along with me and appreciates what I've been going through, even though it is still early. It's a great book-you'd love it too!

I'm planning on dragging my DH with me to my med center's prenatal information session so that he can hear what other pregnant women ask and hear what the advice nurse says. It's the best way I can think of to gettting him involved and opening his eyes. Don't yell at him but tell him that you really need his involvement in this pregnancy. It's both yours and his baby and so you both need to do what is best for the baby. Each time I complain about something, he picks up the "What to Expect When you're Expecting" book and tells me that the book says I'm supposed to feel that way. Good luck.

My DH bought the everything father's book. He reads it quit a bit and has been great about helping me with laundry, dinner (when I'm just too exhausted) and anything else that i need help with. I'm a little shocked though, b/c before it was like pulling teeth to get help. I'm lucky!
