how long after conception would alcohol make you sick?

Pregnancy and sickness from alcohol do not go together. If you drink after conception you are risking miscarriage and harm to the baby. However, you yourself as a grown adult would not get any sicker from alcohol while you're pregnant than you would if you weren't pregnant. I'm not sure that is your question. I think you might be asking when it affects the baby. The baby doesn't begin getting nourishment from the placenta for a few weeks after conception, and up until that point alcohol would only perhaps cause miscarriage. After that point it can cause fetal alcohol syndrome. Best to not drink if you think you're pregnant. Hope this helps.
