Am I The Only One With Insomnia

I am 11 weeks along. Every single night without fail, pretty much from the moment I found out I was pregnant (at 4 weeks), I wake up several times during the night and I CANNOT go back to sleep. I am usually awake between about 3:30 and 5:30 or 6, and it's very frustrating because I am then so tired during the day. Does anyone else have this problem? I'd like to just know I'm not the only one.

YES! I haven't been sleeping well at all either. Last night was the first night in a long time where I only got up 1 time to pee. I'm 6 weeks along and it's been so frustrating, since I'm dead tired all day long...

Same here... some nights I sleep really really well - only getting up to pee, but many nights I feel like I'm awake staring at the clock at all odd hours of the night. I wish I could have a big gla__s of wine to knock me out! :)

Karen you're not alone! I have no trouble falling asleep but then I'm up at least twice to go to the bathroom, and most nights I have crazy dreams, then I'm awake from about 5AM and can't go back to sleep!

I am 11 weeks along as well. Same thing. Up three times a night to pee, so tired during the day. Take an hour nap late afternoon, can't fall asleep at night. I can't break the cycle.

Im only 6 weeks and I find myself up at all hours of the night, and I cannot go back to sleep at all.. and Im so tired during the day, is there anything i can try to help with it?

I am so glad that others are finding this too. I am a little over 7 weeks. Sometimes I am so tired after work that I nap and then can't fall asleep. Or if I do fall asleep at a "normal" hour, I am up from like 3:30 - 5:00??? I think sometimes I can't sleep because I feel lousy.

I fall asleep just fine but wake up every morning very early - maybe between 4 and 5, then am mainly awake until 7, when I get up. But even though I'm getting very little sleep, I don't feel the fatigue everyone is talking about. I'm in my 6th week...

Karen- i did that for the first week when I found out. I would wake up at like 2am and not go back to sleep. It started taking its toll on me when I could hardly make it throuh the work day. I am now sleeping through the night. I know I had a whole LOT on my mind that week....thinking and worrying about every little thing with pregnancy. If you have allot on your mind try to not think about anything and just think peaceful thoughts, or read a book until it makes you sleepy.

I am 12 weeks and have been having sleepless nights for 4 weeks. I am so tired of it. I have 4 children already and I am miserable in the day. Any suggestions to help with sleep.

Sorry everyone else is going through this, but I'm glad all the same! :) Ange, just wait--the fatigue will catch up to you. I think mine was worse around 8 weeks.

Two weeks along and yeah insomnia is horrible!

Miff - October 14

yes! I write this after yet another night of waking around 3:00 and sleeping fitfully for rest of night. It's driving me nuts because I don't feel particularly tired in the evening, just absolutely exhausted every morning. I am living for the weekends, when I can sleep whenever I want. I'm ending my sixth week at the moment.

YES! this is horrible, I was sleeping so heavy until the day I found out I was pregnant. I am now 6 weeks and the insomnia is unbearable. I am so much tired then I have ever been and I seem to have a lot more headaches to go along with everything else. Do you ladies know if their is any medicine that will help me sleep???

Tina - October 22

I just "know I am pregnant even tho my "period" is not due until the 28th. I am usually a heavy sleeper and for the past couple nights I wake up at 2:00am with a lot of energy!..Driving me crazy!....I hope it calms down soon cause I LOVE to sleep!....lol
