Anyone Bleeding From The Cervix

Hi All, I was just wondering if anyone else is going through what I am. I am 8!/2 weeks pregnant, numbers are great, size is great, heartbeat is great, but I have been bleeding since day one. Dr. says I basically have some ruptured blood vessels on my cervix, everything is fine with the baby, but man, seeing blood almost everyday is stressful! Anyone else dealing with this?

Jen, How do you know everything is ok with the baby? What test did the doctor do to verify that? The reason I ask is, I am 8 wk and have a low progest level and my doctor put me on prometrium 200mg at night. I am terified because my doctor has not ordered any other test and I am worried about the baby being ok due to the amount of women who miscarry with low progest levels.

Misty, because I miscarried iver the summer (due to hcg levels not rising and low progesterone) when I found out I was pegnat again my drwanted me to come in every 2 days for hcg and progesterone level checks. They always came back rising appropriately. At 6 1/2 weeks we had an internal ultrasound and the heartbeat looked great. We went back at our 8 week and had another u/s and the baby grew the way it should, on target with the estimated due date. Also, the dr was able to detect that the blood was not coming from within the uterus. Hope this helps and good luck to you.

Thanks for the info. I called my Dr. and requested an ultra sound. I will now have another blood test and an ultra sound tomorrow. Wouldn't you think my Dr. should have requested this, not me. I'm starting to 2nd guess my Dr. Thanks again.

I have a friend who underwent ivf and she is now 13 weeks with a very healthy baby. She has had bleeding the whole way through so far. Initially it was because it was a twin pregnancy and she lost one, but the bleeding just hasnt gone away. The docs aren't concerned and everything else is fine ... so good luck!

Went for my ultra sound this morning. All is fine. 138 heart beat, sac and fetal pole. I'm so glad I requested the ultra sound it really has made me feel better. I now need to relax and adjust to the fatigue of the Prometruim. Good luck to all.
