Anyone Experiencing Anxiety

I'm 8 weeks pregnant and experiencing many of the classic symptoms. In additionto those, I'm having a lot of anxiety. Not just worrying about the pregnancy or motherhood but actual, "fight or flight" response symptoms. It is making my nausea worse and sleeping difficult. I'm trying breathing exercises and chamomile tea - they help a little. Has anyone experienced this? Is it normal? What can I do to alleviate? I'm miserable. Thanks.

ME ME ME, ha ha. . .I have anxiety at night. It was weird though,I am 6 weeks pg and I was fine before I found out, but now that I know I cannot sleep at night for anything. I fall alseep for maybe an hour at a time and then I am tossing and turning.

I'm anxious all day thats why I'm on here posting so many questions! lol. I'm 6 weeks today, all I do is think about what size the "embryo" is. Is everything developing correctly. I'm just really overly concerned. I also get cramps from time to time. Nothing severe though.

Thank you Beth and Lucky1. I couldn't find much information online about this type of anxiety during pregnancy. What you two describe is exactly the type of thing I'm experiencing. Thank you for helping me feel 'normal.'

I think these feelings are totally normal. I suffer anxiety when Im not pregnant and have done for years so its nothing new to me. Luckily since Ive been pregnant it hasnt been so bad as I have learned to deal with it over the years but I do dread having bad panic attacks at this point as usually I would take a valium which I dont want to do whilst pregnant. Fingers crossed I keep going okay.
