Hello everyone and congratulations to you all on your pregnancies. I am a mother of a 2 1/2 year old little girl that came to us through assited reproduction. My last period was on January 17th and I took a pregnancy test today and it read negative. My cycles are usually 30 to 35 days and I have never missed a period before. I cant rely on symptoms because with my first child I had no symptoms except the missed perios and the mild cramping. I took an EPT test. Any advise?

My advice would be wait about a week or so and if no period, take another test, if that one is negitive...you should probably make an appointment with your dr. to see what is going on... I hope everything works out for you :-) good luck.

you can only get a false positive if you are on medicine that contains HCG but it is uncommon. false negatives however are much more common as it can take some women weeks for there HCG levels to be detectable
